"I want to first say Thank You for the amazing experience! My girlfriend recommended this place which I’ve driven by so many times but have never gone in. Some nice features is that they are located across from Alewife Station which gives access to the redline. It also is located right at the start of route 2 and alewife parkway for even more convenience. There are multiple parking lots outside which means no hassle to find parking! The occasion was my 22nd birthday and we decided to go and have seafood here at Summer Shack! The hostess’s were very kind as they sat us further away from what seemed to be a work party at the bar section that were a bit loud. I find this courteous to the guests as it shows respect to parties who would prefer to avoid larger crowds. The drinks were great and the appetizers were delicious! We started off with clams and oysters both on the half shell. All the raw seafood was FRESH and flavorful! I’ve always been a seafood guy and it was my special day so I got a 1 1/2 pound lobster which was full of meat! For the people who are like “it’s too much work to get the meat out and it’s too messy” please, just order off the kids menu if you want to complain. Some of us enjoy the excitement in eating lobster. For dessert, i got a slice of cheesecake with a candle to blow out on top which was an amazing touch! We also had a youngster with us which they provided coloring paper and extra napkins which is another thumbs up for me! I would like to thank the Summer Shack staff for such an amazing 22nd birthday experience and would highly recommend for any celebration or just a night out! "Food is good but there’s some inconsistency and sloppiness in some logistics. Website, phone, and in person all state different hours of operation.I placed an order online at 1pm on a Sunday, scheduled to be picked up 45 minutes later. I received a text saying the order was ready, only to show up and see the restaurant in complete darkness.Unsure if they are open Sundays at all, even though the website says they are. I was charged for the meals anyway, so I’m waiting on a refund."

"I went to the birthday dinner after kemuri. that was my first experience at eating in kemuri. I ordered the special Kemuri plate that is a mix of sushi and sashimi. I also had the calamari for an appetizer. I have lived in japan for 20 years and the Pacific Islands, so I'm a little picky when it comes to Japanese eating and sushi. everything was perfect. our server jeremy was also 5 stars. I have to say the location is very beautiful, it is located on the water. my overall experience was excellent. the hostess was pleasant and our server was very attentive. the menu selection was great. the atmosphere was very relaxing. they had played music, but it was not ignorantly loud and they had different genre of music that was a plus. our order came fast. So why the 4 stars? the truth is that I wanted to give this place a 4.5 stars and it is either a 4 stars or 5 stars without between. if, I give this place a 5 star than I don't fair with my review. the stuffed lobster roll I order was a piece dry, but all the other we order was also the dry lobster roll delicious. I would still offer another offer and recommend this location. fyi, if you want to sit on a table on the water they are a lot of a reservation. - I hope this help."
