"Stopped here for brunch this last Sunday. We were seated immediately and they were quick to check on us (but not rushed). They have indoor and outdoor covered seating, which was nice and had fans for the heat and warmers for the colder times. The latte I got was so creamy! I loved it! I also got the smoked salmon Benedict and OH MY GOSH! Sooo good! All the flavor but not over powering. My husband got the chicken panini and everything about it was delicious! Overall, you can tell they take care to pay attention to what they're serving. The atmosphere was relaxed and since it's in a shopping center, parking was not an issue at all. Definitely found a gem of Spring Valley!"

"Okay, it's thanksgiving and we should be grateful that the restaurant was open. but there it stops. they were completely booked for reservations, but they must have limited the number of reservations they took because when we arrived there were very few diners. it took forever to welcome to our table. brot Bas came 15 minutes after asking if we wanted one. asked for her salat with blue cheese dressing instead of the house vinagrette (I can not lean vinegar based dressing) and was said there were no substitutions. omg. are you sweating? $47 for dinner and I can't get any other salat dressing? then when I ordered my meal, I asked to leave the asparagus and maybe just a swallow of her filling that would be softer to eat. again, not possible. I don't know that as a waitress. seriously? they were not busy! the turkey dinner of my man was very good, but my urn, which was the order medium, was served red and raw. at this point I didn't want to ask for another accusation because it was just not worth it. halfway through our meal my man needed a drink. waitress was not close to us to ask for the drink. water glasses were empty and would remain so for the rest of the meal. that was a totally disappointing experience. we have spent the last 7 or 8 years at one bistro for thanksgiving. it is the way and wise of my man to share a quiet dinner, to be grateful for each other before visiting related for dessert. every year we look forward to going back. I make my reservation on the first day possible, which is usually on 1st november. we will not go back next year. I know that they will not miss our business, but we will not miss their lack of good service, improperly cooked eating or their lack of appreciation for their customers. a very disappointing experience, especially since one bistro is/was our favorite restaurant of all including Boston destinations."

"It was our first visit here. Choose to have a Valentine's breakfast, The coconut pineapple pancakes were quite good. Would have preferred real whip cream instead of a can. Eggs benedicts were good. Checked out menu for lunch and dinner. Would return to try dinner. Owner actually called me to see how our visit was. Very impressed!!! Very out of the way for someone. Definitely a neighborhood gem"

"Hidden gem! I recommend everything we ordered. Escargot: 5/5. Delicious, and we used the baguette slices to dip in the extra garlic butter sauce. Italian benedict: 5/5. Eggs benny w prosciutto. The eggs were perfectly runny, the potatoes were amazing, and the jam included is homemade. Mussels and fries: 5/5. So simple yet so great. Tasty sauce and well-seasoned fries. Nutella banana crepe: Great. Generous with the Nutella and bananas. Service was 5/5! There are only 4 tables outside and the tables were more than 6 feet apart so I felt very safe dining here. Will be back to try the French onion soup! Park on the neighboring streets but be sure to read the signs carefully!"

"If I could give a non-vegetarian restaurant 5 stars, I would. I appreciate their options in a community that likely would not sustain a vegetarian restaurant. We had lunch at Roots today. My husband ordered the black bean sandwich (comes with cheddar cheese which could be removed) and I ordered the tofu sandwich (which comes with aioli which can be removed substituted). The staff was very courteous and accommodated our requests for changes even suggesting some substitutions. Both meals were very tasty. My husband ordered fries as a side and I ordered a quinoa salad which was amazing! The atmosphere was conducive to conversation and table sizes not cramped. Our meals cost $25."

"For brunch and it was okay. I wish they had more on the drink card and offered more than orange juice Mimosas. The spiked coffee tasted okay not to write at home. If you get French toast, make sure you ask how it is prepared. We didn't know that the seasonal French toast would be sweet potato cake. It wasn't evil, actually very good, just unexpected. The chickens and waffles were okay? Nashville hot had no spices. Could also remain original. The only thing that was really disappointed was the eggs. Asked for scrambling with cheese and got an egg patty with an unmelted piece of cheese thrown on the outside without spices. The food is not worth it? ve was better at a diner"

"absolutely delicious brunch! we got a swallow (with the toast who was sworn for a cookie, half a salmonase and half a cookie and gravy (each with a egg we stabbed).) the service was fast and attentive, and that waited by! I recommend getting two half portions so that they can try more from the menu, everything we had was excellent. the cookies are above all a standout, do not miss them! skip the grapefruit juice when they consider it was good, but not worth the $5 (I am optimistic about the orange juice and the more likely, though! . we come back definitiw."

"$18.44 for 0.4 pounds! I think I will weigh this myself in this economy. buyer beware. it should be 2/3 lb or 300 grams, but they shortened me over 100 grams. stingy. only to give 3 stars because the cook offered me to give me more food after I complained, but we were back with us."

"came here for the first time after hearing from some friends. Bus Orlando was amazing, he was actually more friendly and attentive than our server, so thank you Orlando!! He should be encouraged to serve (if that is something he wants). The atmosphere was very welcoming. We sat in the back terrace, which has an open ceiling concept and it was extremely aesthetically appealing. My friend and I both had the fillet, one side of the garlic potatoes and their Brussels sprouts. One of the BESTTTT files I've ever had. Extreme juice and delicate and now my top-fav. The potatoes of the mash did not have too much taste to discuss, but the Brussel spears made sure of it and not disappointed. My friend and I were both very happy with the experience as a whole and we look forward to a return."

"Decent service, nice interior, delicious food and drinks. It was pretty packed so service was a little delayed. Everyone was very nice though! The frozen watermelon margarita is awesome and I totally recommend. The class 5 napkin burger is delicious. Even more so when you add on some sautéed mushrooms. Would definitely go back again! Now for my standard COVID comments as of September 2022. No one is really wearing masks anymore now that it’s not mandatory. We were seated in a nice booth and found that it was comfortable eating indoors even when pretty packed."

"I had an enjoyable meal with my mother, the restaurant had a bright atmosphere with lots of windows. Pay parking is available which is validated and reimbursed. Ordered the coastal Cobb salad and the mushroom and Kale risotto which are both recommended although there was...maybe a little too much oil used in the risotto for my liking personally. In the end, I wasn't bothered and everything went well. Service was excellent, professional, and attentive. In terms of value, it was pretty good value for money and I felt I got my money's worth. Only thing noteworthy is that it's a little out of the way unless you're staying at the hotel. In terms of walking it's probably a 10 minute walk from the Bridgeport skytrain station. If you're a hotel guest, I would strongly recommend it."

"we love it! we went to this restaurant because it was so close to where we were and I wanted to taste a vegan restaurant, I love vegan eating but never visited a vegan restaurant before. I have reviewed the reviews and photos and my friend and I wanted to try it, we were so surprised, it exceeded our expectations. Eating was so tasteful and delicious, we can not wait to go back and try other items from their menu."
