"I had heard about this place before, so when I passed, I decided it was time to try. The first thing that caught my attention was the guy at the front counter. His customer service skills were ON POINT! His enthusiasm was infectious, and he showed how much he took care of every individual customer who came into the door while I was there. But even more than that, he kept the customers feeling as if they waited for their food, instead of just while they ordered it. During the waiting, I had asked how the clam chowder was. He told me it would be amazing, of course. At least I knew he had served me some to try. I didn't know that until AFTER I decided to tap 50%, just because of its excellent customer service capabilities (and before I even tried the food! He was super grateful and showed the container of the soup that he had secreted for me before he even knew I would tap him, and we had a good laugh. My order was to go. I had decided this time to try a double Western Bacon Cheeseburger with the regular Pommes. But the Clam Chowder called me and I had to try. I am very picky about Clam Chowder and make a point to try every place I can. I was AMAZED, it was one of the best shells I ever had. I have to make a taste test with my top two on the coast. When I came to the burgers and fries, it just confirmed that this place is amazing. Roasted rolls, excellent tasting grill sauce, meat with wonderful taste, delicious onion rings and frits that were delicious and perfectly cooked. Not only will I go back, I will take so many people there to try as I can. I was excited to end food so I could write this review. Customer service won my heart and food won my stomach. Bravo."

"I placed an online order for pickup for my fiancé and I's 5th anniversary dinner at Applebee's, as this is where we had our first date. We are full-time travelers and have found that every big chain restaurant we visit here in Northwest Arkansas is terrible, including Applebee's. Despite placing my order at 3:30 for pickup at 5:30 and following the instructions on the website to indicate my arrival time, the pickup process was very disappointing. When I arrived, I could see that there were only 3-4 tables in use, so I used the online website to notify them of my presence. After waiting for 10 minutes and getting hung up on when I called, I observed one of the employees inside hanging up the phone without even attempting to assist. After calling again, another girl answered and informed me that they were putting the last few items in the bag. I waited an additional 5 minutes along with other customers waiting for their carside pickups. It became apparent that they were not handling the to-go orders efficiently. When I received my food, it was cold and seemed like it had been sitting since 3:30. They had also forgotten the fries for the burger, and all the food was not only cold but also hard. Additionally, the dessert I ordered for our special occasion – a brownie slice and scoop of ice cream – was disappointing. The brownie was tiny and there was hardly any ice cream. The dessert was rock hard, leading us to believe that there was something wrong with it. It is clear that they do not prioritize to-go orders, assuming that customers will not return to complain. Overall, this experience was absolutely awful. I would give zero stars if possible, but the only positives were that my meal was barely edible and the employee who handed me my food was friendly. This experience has left me with no desire to return to Applebee's in the future."
