We arrived 20 minutes before closing time, but we were still seated without feeling rushed. The service was good and our food came out quickly. While their prices are higher than other California Vietnamese restaurants, the food was absolutely delicious!
Bún Thang ($13.95): I requested clear flat rice noodles instead of the usual egg vermicelli, and it paired perfectly with the broth. The broth was amazing, one of the best I've had. You really don't need any sauce besides the samba chili if you like it spicy. They give generous toppings and protein. I had never tried this dish before, but I loved it. My only issue was that some of the shredded chicken was a bit dry.
Banh Beo ($11.95): Banh Beo served in California is usually quite basic, but here they were generous with their fillings and toppings, giving it much more flavor. The nuoc mam was great too, making it better than most places.
Xoi Man ($11.95): This dish was a pleasant surprise. It may look ordinary, but when you take a bite of the sticky rice, it's sweet and coconut-flavored! It paired well with the savory Chinese sausage and chicken, and for an extra flavor boost, add some nuoc mam. Highly recommended!"
