"We were pleasantly surprised to have a server, Mayte, who took our drink orders as we looked over the menu. We decided to order the Family Meal with Ropa Vieja and Pollo A La Plancha, along with Yellow Rice, Black Beans, and Fries for the grandkids. We also ordered Empanadas in Beef, Chicken, and Spinach flavors, as well as Mari-k-tas Plantain Chips.
The Plantain Chips arrived first and were hot, crispy, and delicious. The Empanadas followed, and though they were good, they were not as hot as we had hoped. Then came the crispy and delicious Cuban bread. Our main meals arrived shortly after, with generous portions of yellow rice, black beans, fries, Ropa Vieja, and Chicken A La Plancha. The meat was flavorful, the rice was delicious, and the beans were the best I've ever had. The fries were also fantastic, hot, crispy, and tasty. We enjoyed the bread so much that we ordered more.
For dessert, we tried the Rice Pudding, which was nostalgic and delicious, and the Flan, which was alright but not our favorite. Unfortunately, they were out of Tres Leche cake. Overall, the food was excellent and the service was great. This restaurant offers some of the best Cuban food I've had in years, despite the disappointment with the Empanadas. I would highly recommend it as a must-try spot."
