Intensely rich and indulgent chocolate cake topped with creamy chocolate frosting.

"We were pleasantly surprised to find a table on Memorial Day weekend, but it is a large space. Our food was outstanding. Diverse menu means everyone can find something to enjoy. Plenty of choices for craft brews too. Highly recommended."

"yesterday my mother called (5/29/19 12:00) to order food for delivery while she sits 8 hours chemo for stage 3 breast cancer. Unfortunately, chemo can and has made a number on her listening. the woman who answered was incredibly rude because she had to repeat a few things and hanged instead. my exceptionally understanding mother, expecting her to get her delivery, waited an hour and a half before she back to see if it still on the way to think that her restaurant might have been busy. the same person replied. my mother asked and she said she had canceled the order and put it on her important. Honestly, why she didn't want to say anything, so I'm here. not only is this a disgusting way...read more"

"First off I'll definitely be back to try more menu items as I can sense it could be hit or miss depending on what you get. That being said, for Pan Asian food, Luanne's Wild Ginger (4 locations, mostly in Brooklyn) is wayy better. I shared a seitan skewer appetizer and it was good but not exactly what I expected (it said satay sauce but it wasn't exactly that). I also got the udon stir fry and it was just ok. The browned tofu wasn't really even cooked, it was just thrown on there, also the sauce was just fine. Nothing spectacular. Thai iced teas were yummy and service was great. That being said it was nothing mind blowing and while I won't be running back, I'll definitely give it another chance and try something completely different. It's a great option if youre in the area, still not any other vegan restaurants in Astoria yet (kinda shocking tbh). Updated from previous review on 2021-12-26"

"Very cool old mansion. The food was pretty good. The Wagyu burger would have been good without the bacon sauce; it overpowered the taste of the burger. I tasted the parm crusted chicken sandwich, which was pretty good. The fresh parm on the salad was delicious . The chocolate cake was ok. The room with the warm fireplace was perfect. Nice restrooms . Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5"

"First time at this place. Everything was wonderful food, drinks and service I had the half chicken dinner with garlic sauce and it was so good. We also shared an appetizer that had some fried calamari, wings and loaded potatoes or potato wedges. portions are fairly big. Next time I'm in the restaurant I want to try some of their specialty cocktails since I only had beer that time"

"Good Mexican, huge portions. The thing that was most about Laredo's was the size of her parts. You were HUGE. I had the dinner sampler that had a beef taco, beef tostada, chicken burrito, chicken enchilada and Chile Relleno. I took half of it home. The mol sauce was very mild (I prefer a little more zip) and while the salsa was fresh, it was runny (I prefer it thicker). But the taste was good. The chips were very good and overall the meal was good."

"we tried pig and finch for the first time. I heard glowing reviews, so we were looking forward to the experience. it was a beautiful evening, and the terrace filled quickly, but there were many seats inside. we started the charcuterie board. it was huge and had a beautiful variety. the homemade pickles and bleu cheeses were my favorite, and my man loved the pairing of the jalapenos, wobble and garlic sausage. we both tried to get home. while they were both tasty, our favorite was the tomatoes. I had an salat with grilled salmon (which I was too full to do more at this place than to crawl! and my man had coq au vin. the house made vinaiigrette on my salad was quite tart, but it weighed with the berries. my man also enjoyed his escape. we are coming back to the final!"

"The food was absolutely fantastic! Gourmet dishes freshly cooked and served by the helpful, attentive wait staff. I enjoyed the trout with black olive puree and baked radishes. My wife had the pork dish that had a baked and stuffed pastry. The meat was tender and flavorful. The dessert menu was brief, but had delicious offerings. I hear that Locavore will cease operation after the of July weekend, and the theme will be changed to a more homey style of food. What a shame. The restaurant reminded me a lot of Artist's Pointe in Disney World. I would dine there again without hesitation. Sorry to see it go"

"Our friends were already waiting at the bar when we got there. We joined them but no one asked for our drink order. Got seated a few minutes later. Got waters almost immediately but we were not asked for drinks for a bit. Once he took that order everything else went well as far as timing. Waiter was knowledgeable and offered the special, which we all ordered. Food was outstanding but I was a little taken back by the bill. Cost of specials was not relayed (and we didn’t ask either) but thought it was over priced."

"This restaurant may not look like much, but the food and service were fantastic! We had heard that the steaks here were delicious, so we had to try it for ourselves, and we were not disappointed. The cuts of steak were juicy and tender. We also tried the calamari, which was thick cut and fresh, not your average pieces. The restaurant is small inside and they accept reservations as well as walk-ins. We thought we would arrive early to avoid the crowds, but even at 4:50 on a Saturday, the place was packed. The wait wasn't too long as they seemed to move people through quickly."

"DO NOT COME TO THIS LOCATION!! Head over to 13th St instead! It is very clearly understood why the first Avenue branch is always empty, lunch and dinner bowls as well as midday we're by many restaurants are packed even at 3 PM.RE: SO CALLED PROVLAIMED MANAGER JUNIORCE,Remains comfortably seated on cell phone entire time and doesn't even stand up to greet a patron, Even regulars.Ordered shrimp dinner with Thai iced tea and sticky rice. He brought me the iced tea half filled. I asked for no milk in it and he filled it only just a tad above halfway for the first time in over 20 years I've been going to the 13th St. branch and being I moved last year, I've been coming here. No waiter has ever brought me a glass that was not completely filled just because I didn't ask for milk. He refused to fillet even a bit more for me and was going to charge me full price for half glass! I told him to take it back. He Grabbed it.Did not bring me water till I asked for a straw or ice and he knows I'd like my water with ice and a straw because I've been in there many times. And if he doesn't, he doesn't belong in any management position if he doesn't get to learn his customers and therefore provide appropriate and cordial customer care.3 After the chef brought me my food I asked him for a glass of water refilled since the proclaimed manager did not come around. He was still busy and personal cell phone and wanted to sit down all time in the empty restaurant even though we had me as a customer the ONLY customer.I asked a young waitress lady for my check and wrote a note in back of the check addressed to the owner stating why I was not going to tip. She was delightful and said she would be sure the owner gets it. She went towards the register and this self proclaimed manager grabbed it looked at it for just a few seconds and ripped it up. I asked her if she gave it to him and she nervously Told me that she did not give it to him and that he grabbed it from her hands and I saw him do it. I just wanted to be sure and to hear it from her.I called before closing time to ask for the name of the manager and this book claimed the manager said he was the manager! I had a feeling he was going to get on the phone but was hoping not. He told me the owner never ever comes to the restaurant and that it would therefore be impossible for me to speak to the owner to report him. He then hung up on me like a coward After I told him I'm sure the owner comes in regularly to check on his business operation and that He is not speaking to a moron. He replied, I am speaking to a moron and he hung up.. I called back to ask if we were rudely disconnected. He hung up on me again.Stay clear of this horrible dungeon because of this horrible, uneducated, uncultured, unprofessional, lol life of a moron. And he is he is, shame shame shame on the owner! Shame on him or her for keeping somebody like this on staff And rips up complaints about himself so that it doesn't get to you. That is THEFT. . Fire hi.He obviously has a problem with women... He argued with the sweetest elderly lady a few months ago who asked for a different glass because the wine she ordered didn't taste right. He argued with her. She sweetly said maybe it's the glass can you just give me wine and a different glass and he refused. If he's not terminated I will be sure you get more negative reviews and they will hurt your business because of your zero accountability and responsibility for not showing up on the premises. This so called proclaimed manager, Juniorce Is 100% responsible for this negative review based on his attitude, actions, unprofessionalism, and unfitness to be a manager in any company of any industry. What a joke."
