"We are definitely coming back my good long time friend Pat inviting me to experience her restaurant. Do to COVID restrictions and shut down it was not possible. Now that my husband and I felt more comfortable we come to try all her delicious plates. We had two tables filled with such amazing and delicious food. I will invite all my family and close friends and clients to experience the high quality of service and hospitality. Beautiful ambiance and delicious cocktails."

"We had an 8:30pm reservation and when we checked in the place was full. Not sure why so many tables where available on open table if it was this full. We didn’t get seated until around 8:50pm. Luckily, the waiter brought us a couple beers on the house while we were waiting and when we got seated they gave us a free edamame. The waiter was amazing (such a hard worker). Overall, we had a great time. I recommend this place to everyone. Amazing food!"

"A birthday dinner. We had to wait (20 or so min. before someone came to us to order our drinks.. then a few minutes later someone else came to take our order. There were only 2 or 3 chefs, so we waited another 30 minutes or do before they came. We understood that these are short staff. The food was waiting. It was very good. A bit pricy, but nothing more than any other Hibachi Grill. It was worth waiting."

"It had been a while since I ate at Miyako but at Kirby location however it had closed a while back. Since we were in the area we decided to try the Westheimer locale. The restaurant seemed old school and the vibe was laid back. We ordered 3 different sushi to try:Buffalo Maki and Mango Go Maki were delicious and fresh. One of the roll was fried in tempura batter and I loved how these rolls came together.Flaming Lobster not a big fan...the fried pieces of lobster on top of the sushi was a bit dry and chewy and there was a sweet rum sauce to dip the lobster. The family also ordered entrees. I tried the Rock Sugar Salmon. It came with fried rice along soup and salad. The salad was refreshing but was drowned by the dressing. The soup tasted spot on with mushroom. The salmon was cooked a little bit on the dry side but with the sweet sauce, it was ok. I liked the fried rice which had the wok hei flavor. Hubby ordered the chicken katsu and he did not like it too much. The fried chicken strips were overcooked which made it too dry to consume. My son ordered the katsudon which he said it was good but he was too hungry to care.Overall if you come to Miyako I would go for the sushi since it made fresh which you can see the sushi chef making them. The prices are a little steep for 'ok ' food."

"I’ve heard a bunch of positive feedback about this restaurant and I wanted to try it out for myself.I walk up to the restaurant front and immediately had confusion because people were inside but the closed sign was in the window. I walked inside and mentioned it to the hostess, not a care in the world about my comment. Noticed several other people who saw the same sign as I and walked away instead of walking inside. The server was very pleasant. I ordered 3 sushi rolls which took around 30 mins to prepare and serve to the table. If there were more than 4 tables, 30 mins wouldn’t be a terrible wait but for the amount of patrons inside, very slow service overall. When the food arrived, the display looked great. Beyond that, it was some of the worst sushi I have had. The entire roll collapsed upon grabbing them with the chopsticks. The speed I needed from plate to mouth before they would fall apart made the meal rather unenjoyable.I personally wouldn’t recommend this restaurant for their sushi. I cannot speak to the other items on their menu but overall I was not impressed with the positive reviews I had heard before."

"This is one of my favorite places to eat Thai Sushi. I come here very often and my kids love it too. On this particular visit the day before the fourth. We stopped quickly for a bite for two. We shared our favorite appetizers. Gyoza which is a chicken dumpling, we ordered it pan fried. We had Crab Rangoon as well with sweet and sour sauce. We shared a bowl of combination “Drunken noodles” this is one of my favorite dishes as the noddles are thicker and flat. My daughters first time having it and she enjoyed it as much as I did. The food is very good here. The ambiance is great. It’s a cute little spot perfect for lunch, date night or dinner with the family. The service can sometimes be a bit slow because there is only one person working the front and floor at the same time. Overall I enjoy this place more than others in the area."

"I love Moko! While it is not actually a hidden gem (they are consistently busy with takeout orders) the real gem is their restaurant itself! You can easily grab a table most nights and get to enjoy their delicious food and awesome wait staff. They always play good music as well! Their new truffle toro roll (pictured) is amazing and hopefully will stick around on their menu for a long time. Always a 10/10 at Moko."

"This place used to be the best hibachi in town. That is NOT the case anymore. The food quality alone is enough for me to not return. Undercooked rice, undercooked scallops, a total lack of the flavor that used to make my mouth water in anticipation. The chef had a total lack of awareness to anyone at his table. He would start distributing the food at the opposite side, seemingly forgetting that he needed enough for the people at the other side. A buddy and myself both had literally HALF portions to the people at the other end of the table and every time he seemed surprised by it. Total lack of awareness and effort on his part. This place has been going downhill for awhile now but after last nights experience I will never be back. It’s a shame really. Very disappointing."

"Situated conveniently in the Japan Center, Isobune proudly claims to be the first boat sushi restaurant in the United States. They offer a decent variety of sushi, which is of average quality. While the prices are on the higher side for what you receive, the service is satisfactory. Although none of the dishes are particularly remarkable, the sushi chefs are quick to fulfill any custom orders you might request that aren't already available on the water. It’s a convenient spot if you're looking to satisfy your sushi cravings."
