"My friend and I ate there in a Tuesday night. We sat outside under a heat lamp and it was perfect. Then welcomed by our server that was stellar. He explained the menu to us is perfect detail, offered a sample of a wine that we were really impressed about, so he moved to another that was amazing. All his food proposals were on point and delicious. I tried food, I never thought I would and the taste of everything, especially the pork cakes was excellent. Can't wait to come back and bring friends."

"ornella is a hidden gem in the district astoria. I have lived here for many years and recently discovered. I wish I had found it a long time ago! the pasta is really delicious. the ambiente makes them feel like they are in Europe. the owner is so real and will entertain you when you feel like talking. the servers are fast and there for what they need. they even gave us a glass of wine on the house! it is also a wonderful place for vegetarians/vegans as they have many interesting and tasty options. my favorite is the bolognese, with which impossibility burger made as meat. I'll report."

"The food was excellent! They had good Belgian-style dishes and a great beer selection! It was very busy there the night we attended. We could tell that most of the clientele were attending the same concert that we were attending, so things were a bit rushed, crowded, and hectic. We plan on going back again at an off time in order to take our time and truly enjoy the food and drink at the Merry Monk. We hope it will be worth the second look."

"Came here for a late night dinner. I thought the prices were high however, the food was good and the menu is very unique. You can tell they have a special chef back there who's making new types of foods. I just got scallops. If you have the money, this hip restaurant seems trendy. Lots of young couples, and young friends getting together. We got there very close to closing and they had run out of everything that we wanted to try like duck meatballs and beef cubes. But that's okay. It just means that they use everything fresh. So get there earlier if you want to try the unique stuff."

"We had dinner last night for our anniversary meal and it was stupendous! My fiancé had the burger special with parmesan truffle fries, I had the grilled porkchop with a half order of the Cider salad, and we split the charcuterie board. Because it was a little late, we opted for takeout and got dessert to go which we thoroughly enjoyed back at the inn where we were staying. The donuts, ice cream and caramel sauce were fantastic and I'm certain the plated version is just as wonderful as the container version. Our server Joanne was pleasant, made great recommendations and added to the charm of the whole evening. Certainly this place may not be everyone's cup of tea, but if you're willing to get adventurous you won't be disappointed. My partner loved the tomato bacon jam on their burger (normally he doesn't care for such things) and everything on my plate from the pickled peaches to the succotash made of peppers and corn and the smoked tomato gazpacho to the chop itself was perfect. I will dream of the succotash and tomato gazpacho with the tasty bits of kale and try my best to recreate it at home someday. We both agreed the cheese and meat board was one of the best we had. Everything had a purpose and there was no wrong combination. The pickled apples (I think that's what they were) with the grain mustard and smoked gouda....amazing! I also loved the blue cheese and bacon stuffed date. Order those carefully because they are very delicious but you might fill up on them! Even the salad was wonderful, with some fresh cracked pepper on top made it better. I loved the salty crunchy shallots mixed with the pecans and julienned green apples. It was truly a tasty experience! Chef Miles and his team are putting out some thoughtful, well rounded dishes that we look forward to trying more of! One more thing, be sure to order a bottle of Alpine Winery's seasonal cider. I opted for the Jonagold and was not disappointed. It especially paired well with the porkchop. "What can I possibly say to give enough kudos to a delightful brunch at this well-established little restaurant on lovely Sacramento Street ? From the delightful young hostess who greeted and seated us to the kind waitstaff , everything was so welcoming .The lunch menu was short , concise but the offerings quite diverse to please anyone’s palette. Our table of four ordered all different dishes and none disappointed anyone ! My homemade artichoke ravioli was so very light with a very enticing lemon scented buttery cheese sauce not heavy or overwhelming at all) that I never wanted that dish to end !!The others were a linguine with clams that my friend said that the chef was so generous with the little clams that she had to share some to get to the linguine !Another hit was the lentil soup served with hearty vegetables , followed by seared large scallops cooked to perfection on a bed of fresh corn !!My husband enjoyed his cavatelli with ragú also a mainstay !So , in closing , let me end by saying that a visit to Sociale for us was a wonderful way to start our weekend … an ambiance worth its weight in its staff and its lovely , very delicious food ! "Had a really fun time on a double date with friends who had come before and recommended this place. The beer was OK, but the food was really fun and a really nice portion size (not overwhelming but enough for girls to have leftovers. I love what they've done inside with the decor, definitely a place I'd like to come back to try the lunch or just for a drink and some flatbread. We had skirt steak, burgers and short rib all entree's were really liked. Also shared the cheese plate and duck fat popcorn before dinner. Only real complaint was our waitress had to be flagged down to order and also get the bill, so perhaps they need another waitress on the floor for busy nights."

At 6:00 PM Sat, identical type request, none received. Phoned Tuesday 19, 2022 11:30 AM pressed stated reservation button. Spoke to male who confirmed reservation and for private room with one long table as we had dined in previously. NINE PM, that evening, girl phoned saying mistaken room not available. Spoke to Mark Mgr. saying reservations only through a separate Co. lady. Where was she all day Monday 18th She has off Mondays REALLY, On Boston Marathon Monday, Red Sox game Holiday with half million coming to town? This day she hadn't arrived when I phoned. Opps, Mgr. who accepted reservation did not look at book Cannot accept Sat. Reservation entire restaurant booked by party of 75 even Pvt. room. They arrive at 6:30 PM. I requested 3:00 PM!!! Received from Reservation lady email curtly saying only she could make reservation. Mgr. pressed me to accept this Co. other restaurant, Reel House. No Thank you 9:40 PM received confirmation of requested Sat. 23, 3:00 PM confirmation of reservation. 9:55 PM Mark Mgr. phones saying he sent it to ME IN ERROR. Seemingly intending to email to another favored person. This Co. words are not their Bond. This caused me EMOTIONAL DISTRESS."
