"April 2022 update Hard to believe it is six years, but I finally have the chance to go back with some friends. The place has not changed. Still not talking atmosphere. You go and order a Deli counter and give you a stand with a number. Then they deliver the food to your table. The good news is that the food comes very fast, it is very tasty, and the staff was super beautiful and courteous. Prices are very reasonable at less than $25 per person. We ordered four main dishes to share an appetizer board, some additional naane and some Lassis. The whole food was delicious. Our concerns were that the butter chicken was not as good as we were in other Indian restaurants in the city and the amount of sauce was excessive compared to the other ingredients in all dishes. On the good side they have some unique dishes that we haven't seen anywhere, and we really enjoyed them, so I upgraded my rating of three stars to four stars. Another difference from other restaurants in the area was that each of the main dishes came with Naan and not with rice. We didn't know enough to order rice, so a lot of tasty sauces ended in the peels that was a shame. In the atmosphere is missing, but the food is good and the prices are very reasonable."

"They gave me wet and soggy papads. Then they brought food but did not bring or give me any dinner plate. Had to ask the waiter for plate. He ignored. Asked few times finally got a plate. By this time my food is already cold. Ordered vindaloo which was just tomoto sauce cooked with chilli sauce with overcooked chicken thigh meat- (paid for chicken breast)Then the roti they brought was not even cooked and had thick uncooked dough so sent back. Ordered garlic naan. Surprisingly it was good. Ordered another one. The waiter didnt order so had to ask another waiter after 10 mins to bring my naan. Still no naan in next 10 mins. Asked 3rd waiter finally he ordered it and brought after 5 mins. Pathetic experience overall. Please never go to this place."

"I ordered the soup, and it was decent, but nothing special. It wasn't too strong in flavor, which I appreciated. The other dish was a fish fillet served with rice. The portion was quite generous, moderately spicy, and came with a good amount of rice, though there could have been more fish. They provided fresh water, but it was just regular tap water with an unappealing taste. When I requested mineral water instead ($2), they brought me a small plastic bottle of regular spring water for $1."

"really delicious Indian food in cranberry. I didn't order much today, but everything I had was more than satisfactory. today's order consisted of channa bhatura (chickpea curry with big puffy brot) and kheer. the actual kicherbsenkur was very good. I'm sure the full channa masala meal is also amazing because the soße has for me exactly the right amount of seasoning, which is great because I couldn't find a way to add seasoned online. there were big cockerbsen in the curry and it was not too oily. his toppings were interesting: cilantro and rohe wobbles. not a big fan of tweeting. also the part of the curry is a little small. the Bhatura-Brot, on the other hand, was very big and as the description said it was quite puffy! some parts of broth were on the oily side, others were crispy. I think it was perfect overall close. it is particularly delicious when they warm it up; then the tasteful oil and salt is more obvious what I enjoy. it gets a bit crispy when it warms. I loved the guy. usually my way to Indian dessert gulab jamun. but I have heard that tamarinds gulab jamuns are very small and are not worth the price. the Kheer share was fair for the price (not small, not big) it was super creamy and sweet! I loved the addition of all nuts, such as cashews and rusts as well as some other almost juicy fruits. overall I have tamarind on my cranberry radar. eating is not too expensive and it is high quality. Although I have not tried much, I can still say that it is a solid restaurant that I would recommend."

"The Indian food at Tamarind in Cranberry is really delicious. I didn't order a lot today, but everything I tried was more than satisfying. I had the channa bhatura (Chickpea Curry with puffy bread) and kheer. The chickpea curry was excellent, and I'm sure the full channa masala meal is equally amazing. The sauce had just the right amount of spices for me, which was great since I couldn't adjust the spice levels online. The curry had large chickpeas and wasn't too oily. The toppings of cilantro and raw onions were interesting, although I'm not a big fan of onions. The portion of curry was a bit small, but the bhaturabrot was large and puffy, as described. Some parts of the bread were oily while others were crispy, which I found to be perfect. It was especially delicious when reheated, bringing out the flavors of the oil and salt. The Kheer was also a hit, with whole nuts, cashews, raisins, and other fruits adding a nice touch. Overall, Tamarind in Cranberry offers high-quality and reasonably priced food. Though I haven't tried a lot, I can confidently say it's a solid restaurant worth recommending."

"This used to be my favorite Indian restaurant. I would visit weekly with my partner, and my little boy loved it as well. However, during our last two visits, we encountered cockroaches crawling on the walls while we were eating. Recently, we ordered through UberEats, and the food quality was not up to the standards we had experienced in the past at Desi. Also, I have to mention that the bathroom is in terrible condition. This place needs a thorough cleaning, and maybe then we would consider coming back."

"This is the best bang for your buck as far as Indian food goes IMO. There are a lot of good options in the Polaris/Lewis Center area for Indian food, and this sits at the top of my list, personally. I prefer Cake Walk over some of the higher priced establishments. Especially their Chicken Tikka Masala try it in comparison to other places, and check out the price tag on it in comparison. You'll love it!"

"I recently visited a South Indian restaurant in Milpitas that came highly recommended by a couple of my friends. Overall, I enjoyed the experience, although there were a few ups and downs. Upon entering the restaurant with my group of 14 friends, we were greeted warmly by the server. However, as the evening progressed, I found the service to be lacking in professionalism and organization. This was a bit disappointing, given the initial positive impression. In terms of the food, we tried a variety of dishes. The chicken kothu paratha was quite good, with an excellent level of spiciness that I enjoyed, earning it a solid 7 out of 10. The goat biriyani lived up to its reputation as the restaurant's best item, impressing me with its delicious flavors, and I'd rate it an 8 out of 10. On the other hand, the paneer biriyani was a bit underwhelming. I've had better versions of this dish elsewhere, and I'd give it a 5 out of 10. One aspect that stood out was the restaurant's spaciousness and cleanliness. The ambiance was well-maintained and very clean, which added to the overall dining experience."

"Visited on our way to a Louisville ordered to go as we were running late . We were there at 8:45 and the closing time mentioned in the maps was 9:30 asked them if we can sit and have our dinner but the cashier said we are closing in 15 minutes and you can’t dine in.. we went back to car to eat and realized the they missed the silverware. Went back and asked to give some silverware to eat our food she said that the silverware will be in the bag… we felt very rude. we ordered mutton Halem but we got was just got boiled sooji with some spices.. we just through all the 4 halem orders. The photo was chicken fried rose and it was just half in the box. Which was no value for your buck.. Please update your timings if you are closing early to Mis guide people.."

"I had two vegetable samosas and goat pepper. Samosas were delicious. They have a great selection, which I could not taste all due to the limited amount of time in town. Customer service is great. Parking was easy the day I went, and the menu has a decent selection of food. Goat pepper was alright. I made some rice at home, and did some modifications which I think tested great. I will 100% recommend this place if you are around."
