"This has been our go to for several years. Never a complaint..until this time. Habatchi cook clearly did not know how to cook or entertain. No show, poorly cooked food. Chicken and scallops were undercooked while shrimp and steak burned to a crisp. Food was underflavored. Vegetables was mostly onions with a few small sprigs of broccoli and carrots. Soup was ok. Super disappointed. Had always rated a 5 in the past.Kid-friendliness: Very polite to child. Kids menu ok."

"My favorite sushi place here in Dallas! Bento boxes are excellent and the pricing is great- most affordable I’ve seen around here for what you get. Always very friendly. Usually it has a pretty steady and busy crowdexpect a short wait on peak times/weekends. The tuna tower is also delish! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner"

"Ordered for pickup for a sushi combo. Staffs were friendly and I was impressed by how considerate the packaging was they separated the cold dishes from the hot soup with a box material which I've never seen before. In terms of food, I really enjoyed the crispy tuna roll on the side more than I expected. Typically, rolls on the side that come with combo meals are not good, but this place completely turned that perception around (I actually liked the rolls better than the sushi). Would've been better if they diversified the sushi options for the combo, but they were still good quality."

"Food is always good. Only complaints I have are they have a stamp card where if you get 10 signature reels you get 1 free, what is great, but we get delivery sometimes, so they give us a new card instead of highlighting our existing ones, and they won't combine them? Prices have also risen since the arrival here. I get the price of everything goes up, but our bills have increased by about $10 and they have not updated their website or menus that they just made a few months ago. Somehow frustrating but oh well I guess"

"This is a hard one for me. Their food is actually really good. Huge portions! It's the service. The women that work of the counter never acknowledge your existence. They never say hello, good day. Nothing they always always have a frown. They'll speak to each other but they won't speak to you. Another thing that was very strange is my husband and I were sharing our meal and he ordered a drink and she said are you not going to order a drink and I said no I share his and she said no sharing no sharing! Which I thought was awkward. But the food is really good. The first time I had the hot and sour soup it was out of this world. The second time I had it it had 10 lb of chili peppers in it and it was unedible lol. But honestly other than their negative attitude, you'll just have to go in there to see it, this place really is good. But imagine the most unfriendly, unsmiling, you're annoying me faces. That's what you get when you go there. And no one really eats inside it's more of a to-go place even though there are booths. I assume it's probably because they feel uncomfortable to eat inside because of the negative attitudes."

"Four of us to celebrate my daughter's birthday. We were able to put everything in a small room for ourselves (big for social distancing) They are always attentive to their needs of the males and not disappointed. The food was excellent as usual. We all ordered various sushi for appetizers and they always give generous entree portions. Going dog bags. I had brought a birthday cake and they took care of it generously, brought the serving, illuminated the candles and played an upbeat happy birthday song through the sound system. A great birthday dinner!"

"Little Tokyo is a really good restaurant, but their prices are a little steep. Due to that, I rarely stop in, and generally choose Kobe instead. But for a really nice meal out with the family or friends, the atmosphere can't be beat, and the food is very delicious. Would I choose this over Kobe? My answer is no, the prices are a good 1/3rd higher, but I would choose this if I wanted to go out with friends who I don't hang out much with. It's a place you go to as an event, rather than just as a weekly meal in my opinion."

"I was here in front of the plan rental and decided to give this place a try for lunch than anything you eat buffet. Let's just say I'm not disappointed. Yes I don't go for a bar and choose what I want, but I prefer it. They give you a paper with all the options they have... secondary note. If you are not a sushi person, they have hibachi elements and other appetizers... You order what you want from soup, salad, appetizer, food and rolls and they make your food order. I was skeptical about the quality and portions, but I was wrong. All I received was fresh and full-sized rolls filled with my selections and not overrated. Anyway, it'll be back."
"Shogun Sushi is a small restaurant that you could be completely forgiven for missing as you drive past on an unlit evening. I'd encourage you not to do so. This quiet, clean, unrushed and utterly unpretentious establishment has seemingly one focus, and that is the quality of the sushi they prepare. I enjoyed a spicy tuna roll that was spot on in its subtlety and focus on the flavor of the tuna, something only done at restaurants not motivated to hide their lesser quality ingredients with an overabundance of heat. Likewise the salmon roll with scallop was a subtle and well-integrated dish, made carefully, and presented well. My appetite only permitted me to try the two rolls, but I'm now eager to go back with friends. There are many paths to disappointment and regret whilst attempting sushi in the AV. You may spend just a bit more here, but you will feel better about yourself (and likely just feel better) after you dine here. "My total came to about $6, and I was already frustrated not knowing what I had ordered. My irritation only grew as I waited twenty minutes for my drink, despite the sign saying it would take just ten. Mind you, this was not during a busy period, and there were two staff members in the front (with others in the back) who seemed to be moving at a snail's pace. When I went to check on my order, I noticed they seemed to pick up the pace as soon as I asked. When I finally received my drink, I was shocked to find my medium-sized order served in what could only be described as a small cup. At this point, I was pretty upset and hoped there would be more drink within the cup. But no, it was incredibly bland. I considered throwing it out, but I felt compelled to drink it since I had already paid for it. So, to make it clear, I do not recommend this place and will definitely not be returning."

"I’ve literally been eating here for years, and I’ve been a customer since they owned the previous location near wawa. I’ve read some reviews saying how it is unwelcoming here and I’d just like to say that the owners have been nothing but nice to me, they ALWAYS say hello, and are decent people. The food is so good, and it’s very clean at the restaurant, I’ve never been unsatisfied! Also, I’d like to point out that they are only human, some days are busy but they do their best to run the business and accommodate customers as quickly as they can. Delivery has never been a problem for me either. If you are wondering If you should try this place out, the answer is yes!"

"MASA has been our date night restaurant for about a year now and they never disappoint! Food wise that is, they're a little short staffed atm so the food's wait CAN be up to 45min depending on what you order and if it's busy. I always start off w spring rolls and every time they're fresh and crisp- I love it! Their sauces are tasteful including the salad dressing, which comes with almost all entrees. The rice is good and teriyaki dish is good! I recommend the Naruto soup, or how ever it's called, It's just so GOOD and filling, soupy yet creamy from all the ingredients. My husband always gets sushi of some sort (the plate decor is very photogenic) but finishes the dish before I can takes photos lol That should say how good it is. Flavors just exploding in your mouth is what I can best describe, and not to mention their Japanese drinks and sake! Very good overall, you are getting what you paid for."
