"Shogun Sushi is a small restaurant that you could be completely forgiven for missing as you drive past on an unlit evening. I'd encourage you not to do so. This quiet, clean, unrushed and utterly unpretentious establishment has seemingly one focus, and that is the quality of the sushi they prepare. I enjoyed a spicy tuna roll that was spot on in its subtlety and focus on the flavor of the tuna, something only done at restaurants not motivated to hide their lesser quality ingredients with an overabundance of heat. This spot is my favored. I visit plenty of restaurants but to this restaurant I constantly return again and again. The team is very cordial and the cooking they offer is so flavorful. I am always happy to have a decent dinner in this restaurant. I highly recommend this place.

Shogun is amazing! Best sushi in the AV by far! If you read the reviews, many of the non-five star ratings have to do with wait time. Well its an authentic mom and pop shop that produces a consistent and amazing product, and because of that its a popular place which reminds me of the time old saying 'good things come to those who wait '. Please continue to support them during covid times. Their takeout is still just as good!
