"I love their veggie burrito (which includes marinated tofu, beans, and grilled veggies, and their roasted veggie bowl (with a vegan pesto sauce, served over rice and quinoa). They have other vegan options such as salad, and most dishes can be made with tofu instead of meat. Great tasting food, especially for the area. Not many restaurants in the AV serve quinoa and kale... lol. They have a salsa bar with a delicious avocado salsa and pickled carrots, to name a few of my favorites. Vegan options are clearly marked on the menu."

Nice for a bite with non-vegans. The tofu in the burrito is always too soft and bland. Could use more seasoning, flavor.

Secret menu: Lawenda Bowl in honor of the Kaiser MD Turing people on to healthy eating. The Lawenda bowl is a mixture of quinoa with steamed veggies beans, it’s often different though as they use veggies on hand.

Sharkey's doesn't compare to veg-friendly places in LA, but it definitely happens when you're hungry and don't want to leave Palmdale. The tofu and sweet potatoes are my favorite. Vegan options are marked. Staff are friendly.

"The Lemon Leaf cafe, in Lancaster, is nice. The menu is limited. Here you place your order at the counter and a server brings your food to the table. I like this type of set up when I'm meeting someone and we are paying separately. It takes the awkwardness out of receiving the check. I ordered the soup of the day. It was some sort of bean soup. I can't remember the name or what my friend ordered. That is how unmemorable and unexciting the menu is at this cafe. The food was okay. Nothing special, at all. The decor was mediocre as well. The service was on the left side of okay, too. My companion ordered a cake to go and even though our plates were cleared and it was obvious we we had concluded our meal, the server never asked if she was ready for her to-go dessert. She had to go fetch it herself. Not a big deal but, it doesn't make for superior customer service. I didn't use the bathroom but, apparently a key is required. I will give them another try. It is in the only interesting area of Lancaster. It is on Lancaster Blvd. Lancaster Blvd is our City's attempt at an attractive meeting area with quaint shops like antique stores, a candy store, a few restaurants, Theaters, museum, etc..... but, the energy does not compare to places like The Orange Circle or Downtown Long Beach. The stores are basic and not special. However, we have nowhere else around the Antelope Valley. So. I will go back, when meeting friends."
