"Hello! This sushi restaurant has been at this place for at least 15 years (I also believe much more than that). I started eating here a long time ago, we say two years ago. I usually have miso soup, small house salad, lobster, spicy crispy tuna reel, rainbow, California roll, etc. Food is really good, classic, authentic, but the restaurant needs a little updated. Looks like a nice restaurant from the late 90s, which is not bad, but it needs a touch of today. Now they improve an outdoor seating of just a few tables with plants and new floors. You passed the test of time. Congratulations!!!"

"The food was delicious , in terms of price tho , it’s on the more expensive side of things, almost $20 for a small soup , side order of Maduros and ONE very delicious beef empanada. Also they have this deal for 10% off when order online thru their website , however the website domain is down . Please fix or stop adverstising the deal . Customers is mix , they have funky deals and don’t always honor what they . They risk their employees being caught in cross of angry customers . I simply would not have pay had I not got my issue figure out. Only Spanish place I know where they charge you rice and beans as the two sides for my pernil, on top of that the short Spanish homie who serve me just straight up didn’t give me an crispy skin which is the best part of having pernil. Why you stingy with food ?"

Wasn't removed from bill and some mgr named Alex decided to come to table and make it my fault!!!! He was very confrontational over a 3.50 taco that was soggy and inedible!!! "1. The service staff seemed as if we were bothering them just to inquire how to order (because there is no signage); and had smart remarks when ringing up our orders.2. The the Rice Peas were dry and flavorless.3. The collard greens gives the Glory Greens in the can Essence. Woody stems all throughout the container of greens. No flavor other than the juice from the can of Glory Greens.4. The curry goat was introduced to just enough heat to ensure it was no longer raw; however I chewed on pieces of this curry goat for ten minutes and it would not GIVE. I tried several other pieces of my curry goat and many pieces could not be penetrated with my very sharp human teeth.5. There were only two tables to dine in and virtually no other place to consume your meal.6. I would not recommend The Soul Spot to anyone looking for Jamaican food or Soul food unless you enjoy Glory Greens from a can and curry goat chewing meat that could use no less than 7.5 additional hours of simmering.7. Additionally, I would recommend signs at each display sharing what the sides are; what the proteins are. Some of your items are not readily recognizable."

"Fine Dominican Steakhouse Bar. El Conde is a neighborhood in Colonial Santo Domingo. El Conde Steak House in Washington Heights features a good amount of Dominican fare, but many offerings are familiar to the Spanish speaking Caribbean and much of Latin America as well.<br/ I started with a Cuba Libré that was bracingly strong. My spouse went with a bottle of Presidente. My dinner choice tonight was grilled entraña, which is listed as churrasco, with tostones. I ordered it prepared medium, although I prefer it rarer still. It was served well done (typical), yet, not to my dismay. The onions were treated in an acid other than lime juice. The skirt steak also had a citric tang that I believe came from a vinegar based marinade. That appears to be the simple answer to the flavor profile puzzle that many previous El Condé reviewers posed in their writings on various sites.<br/ My better half chose rabo with red beans and white rice as her side dish. Despite having half the meal wrapped for take away, she expressed no disappointments.<br/ We made no after dinner dessert nor beverage selections as we were both quite full after our repast."

"Pretty tasty burritos, huge size. I tried the hashbrown burrito, and it was pretty good. Edit: since then, I have been here 5+ times, I tried the carnitas burrito, Del Mar Burrito (my now favorite) and Caldo de rez (beef soup). I’d say the quality of the food is consistent at a 4+ stars, and service is always good. The employees take your order fast and the food is always delivered pretty fast. They have a salsa bar, which is always a great plus. Their chips were phenomenal and they lasted fresh in my fridge for days! Had the horchata and that was pretty darn good too. Overall the establishment seemed clean and the customer service was good. I would go back, though I’d try something new."

"We had reservations for 7:30 on a recent Saturday evening. We arrived at 7:16. The hostess asked us to give her 10 minutes. That was not a problem. We found 2 seats at the bar and got a drink. Matt, the bartender asked us if we wanted menus and we told him that we had reservations. He told us that we were welcome to stay the bar if we wished. We kept watching the hostess as she walked past us several times but never told us that our table was ready. It is a very small restaurant and we were able to see from our seats at the bar that there were at least two 2 tops open. People who came in after us were ultimateley seated at those places. We just watched in amusement. It actually became a game to see if she was ever going to seat us at a table. The bartenders were awesome so we just decided to have dinner at the bar. It was at 8:05, almost an hour after we arrived, when I went up to the hostess stand and told her that we had just decided to eat at the bar. She asked me what time my reservations were for and I told her 7:30 and when we arrived at 7:16 you told us it would only be 10 minutes . She was frazzled and didn 't even apologize. I didn 't get the impression that the staff was thrilled with her either. She approached 2 employees while they were waiting on drinks at the bar and we watched them roll their eyes at her as she walked away. They were justified in their eye rolls. We found the whole experience funny but we probably would not have if there were not two seats at the bar and we were forced to stand for that long waiting on a table. The food was awesome and the bartenders made the experience even better. Besides the hostess, our dinner and bar experience was fabulous."
