"I hope the right people see this. I came to dine in today. I was sitting at a table right when you walk into the dining room. Your manager Emma is very unprofessional and disrespectful. I personally heard her yelling at one of her employees. This isn’t the first time we come in an experience something of this nature. The employee looked so upset. It doesn’t matter the situation she should never raise her voice or be disrespectful to an employee especially infront of customers and other employees! Calling them names and bullying I believe is against EEOC’s guidelines. I will be submitting a complaint with them! That employee is great and very respectful he has served me and my husband in the past! I hope to hear back from someone regarding this issue."

"I wanted to love this place the food was good, the cocktails were delicious with fun presentation but the experience will ensure that I will never return. I was here to celebrate my husband’s birthday with a few family members and my 9 year old daughter. They have a kids menu and my friend brought her 80 year old mother and recommended it as fun and lively yet family friendly. I made a 6:30 reservation thinking that was early enough to avoid a club scene but I was wrong. First we were seated at the very back of the restaurant under the speakers. I noted in my reservation that I was celebrating a birthday. I mentioned it to my waiter several times but he was more preoccupied with selling me top shelf liquor for my margaritas and showing visible disappointment and disdain because we didn’t order the $300 steak. My intent was to show my husband a nice night out and instead all he remembers is the multiple times he had to get up and ask that the music be turned down from ear piercing levels to protect our daughter’s ears. About 45 minutes into our experience wafts of marijuana smoke permeated through the restaurant. My husband got up from the table to find the source and our waiter confirmed that yes it was marijuana but it was being smoked on the patio so there was nothing he or the restaurant could do. At this point he wanted to leave before our food arrived. My daughter begged to stay as she was hungry. Our food arrived. We were finally laughing and trying to have a good time when the most lewd song I ever heard blasted through the speakers. Everyone in the restaurant looked in shock when vulgar terms for genitalia were blasting through the speakers. I had to cover my daughter’s ears. A woman at another table pointed at my daughter as she requested that the music be changed, a man with his date looked at me in pity and just then our waiter appears with the check as if he knew this would be our last straw. I wish after $600 I could have had a better time."

"Nice place, little overpriced. Ambience: great Food: better Service: Self service Parking: can be a challenge, I got it quickly. Staff: friendly and nice With a little overpriced menu, I wasn’t disappointed at all. Food was tasty. You have a huge display of menu, pick what you want and then grab a tray and go straight to the server. Tell them what you want and they will make the plate right in front of you. And you also get to pick breads and desserts as you walk up to check out. They have Android Pay, no Apple Pay. Will try them again for dinner and see how it goes."

"I love the relaxed feel of this place, the only problem is parking in downtown Ellicott City. However there is a small parking lot for the La Palapa. The food was excellent.. "We had a late dinner here recently. I had not been here for years but my experiences had always been great. The menu is a bit eclectic with duck taquitos and other interesting choices. Chips and salsa are both fresh and delicious. I had the blackened ahi tuna tacos. The portion sizes are huge and incredibly flavorful. However, later that evening I did not feel well and experienced nausea and gastrointestinal problems over the next day. This meal was the only possible source of the problem as I had not eaten during the day except for some beverages. It put me off my meal experience here. We'll try it again someday but I'll be more cautious about what I order."

"Biggest tacos throughout the south... also the chicken quesadilla ive had never had a quesadilla like it somewhere... my absolute favorite though is they have lamb tacos and idk elsewhere that it has... and if somewhere else I very doubted his as fresh as this place... once I had the lamb taco from here was addicted... I already loved to begin their tacos, but I tried the lamb and Ohhhh man AMAZING also the fish taco with cabbage . GREAT ....definitly my favorite Mexican place in the Chicago area .... the service is also excellent ... very nice very friendly staff and man I have to give it the babe here they really know what they do ... I come twice in the week atleast and had not 1 problem and always smile"

"The service has become quite slow, which is unfortunate, but it can also be a bit concerning. However, they still serve some of the best breakfasts and their burgers are absolutely exceptional. The food is generally very good, even during busy times, though it can be hit or miss occasionally. "on the last day of the restaurant week for the $25 three curs lunch. for the appetizer I got the guac that came with chips and my friend got posole suppe. the guac was really good. the main meal I got the Smash-Burger and my friend got the fishtacos. Yeah, we didn't cost it. the sweet potato friends weeen but good, and the desert was churros. that was a stick of churro for everyone."
