"Was outrageously disappointed in my visit last night. I was with a group so rather than get called out for causing a scene I tried to just enjoy my miserable experience. There are some major teaching moments that need to happen. I was fairly sure that the bar carried Maker's Mark as I had ordered it before there. I asked the server and she had no clue. I told her that when she checked, if they did have it, I would like a manhattan. I was polite. She returned a few minutes later and confirmed that there was Maker's on the bar and did I want Pepsi in it? I reiterated that no, I would like it in a Manhattan. Can you guess what she brought me? Maker's, with Pepsi in it. I sent it back and ordered a plain Maker's. Pretty basic. Again, this was too difficult and she returned yet again to ask if I wanted it on the rocks. At this point, our entire party of 10 was on their second (or third) round and I had yet to get one. (My water arrived on the 4th trip back to the table .. I just assume at this point that ordering it neat was pointless and took the ice out of it myself. Our silverware was dirty, but since it was taking so long for every other trip, why bother anyone about it. Cloth napkins and water to scrub the stains and chunks off so we could actually eat. The rice that came on the side of my chicken dish was overboiled and gelatinous to the point of being inedible chunks. Sure, the sauce and chicken was tasty but what a disappointment. Oh, and you're welcome for killing the dozen or so fruit flies that were hovering around our table for the majority of our meal. If the boss hadn't footed the bill I would definitely have made a point to call a manager. Thankfully the Maker's and Pepsi was taken off of the bill. I don't believe anyone was rude, some in the group tipped our waitress extra on top of the gratuity but a note to management- teach your staff that if they don't KNOW the answer, they shouldn't assume one, especially after being told they were wrong. It is difficult to believe that in this day and age of craft cocktails that a Manhattan is too tall of an order. I know at least ONE of your bartenders knows how to make one because I have had one there before on my only trip there previously. Dining here wasn't my idea and won't ever be again."
