"We live here in Mesa and wanted to go (again) to the Las Sendas Grille for my wife 's birthday. We arrived on time, and were seated at a table inside, the bar is adjacent and was very noisy. The server was friendly and attentive, without intruding. We both had Ceasar salads, they were good. I had the rack of lamb, my gluten free wife ordered the octopus. The lamb was perhaps a little overdone for being medium , but properly cooked, but small (4 small ribs) in quantity, and rather unremarkable in seasoning and flavor. The octopus was selected from large rather tough tentacles, and also was completely over sauced with an overly sweet and salty caramel type sauce. This sauce was so rich and overbearing that it was inedible, and certainly drowned the delicate flavor of the octopus. We had some nice wine (the Precision Cabernet) and it was very good. After a while the noisy patrons in the bar left, so it was a more pleasant experience for the 2nd half of the evening... until the check arrived. At $200+ for the two of us, and one bottle of wine, that seems a bit rich, even for Las Sendas."
