"I love there ice cream but their employees are horrible. I ordered and paid for two pints of seasonal ice cream. Drove out there to get it. Took forever to find parking. Ended up having to double park. Ran it and got the ice cream and they substituted another flavor for it without telling me. Find out when I opened it later that night for guests who were looking forward to trying that flavor. The employees are either rude or incompetent! This happened when I used DoorDash and I assumed the just replaced it and did not how to contact me but this happened when I literally went it. How hard is it to tell me: sorry we don't have your flavor. There ice cream is good but their employees are just incompetent. Order from there at your risk!!!"

"The ice cream here is amazing. That’s what matters most. The lines are long in the summer. You might have to wait during peak hours on a hot day. You can always skip the line and buy a pre packaged pint but the flavors are usually limited. The flavors can get very creative and they’re not all going to be everyone’s favorite but they will let you sample a few before you buy them. I’ve tried a few of the other small batch ice cream shops in Portland and they just don’t measure up to the quality Salt n Straw has become known for. Absolutely recommend for everyone, including vegans, as they always have a couple options that are lactose free!"
