"This place is awesome! The fish fry was cooked perfectly, the French fries were crispy on the outside and creamy in the middle, the coleslaw and tartar sauce were perfect complements to the meal, too! And don't get me started on the old fashioned it came in a goblet and was divine! To top it all off, our server, Gina, was super friendly and attentive throughout the entire meal. Highly, highly recommend this place!"

"Food was great. The service was excellent. Our server was attentive and friendly. Dinner hours do get busy so be prepared for a wait if you do not have a reservation. The Ribeye steak was great. It came out perfectly cooked. The cream of potato soup was very good. The mashed potatoes were delicious. The meal also comes with a side salad along with the soup and choice of side with your steak. Prices are fair and much cheaper than you would pay at a traditional steak house. The quality of the meat is great. The drinks are strong and flavorful. You get a lot of food for a great price; I spent about $100 for dinner and a drink for two including tip. I would recommend this restaurant. Parking is ample. Restaurant is clean."

"We had been to orientation at UVA all day Thursday. By the time we checked in to our hotel, we were beat. My husband and I were wondering where we would eat dinner that nite and he walked outside and lo and behold there was the Aberdeen Barn right across from us. Needless to say that is where we dined and it was divine. The absolute best prime rib I have ever had and I've eaten in some pretty good steak houses. No doubt we will be back when we visit our daughter."

"Big thanks to Ian for posting about this place on Facebook. Without seeing that post I would have never known that there was a buffet three days per week a quarter of a mile from where I live. I just went there for the first time today and got the lunch buffet. It was really good. The selection was actually larger than what had been advertised on Facebook. The quality was significantly better then what I would have expected from a buffet and I credit the chef for that. Many times when you go to a small buffet like this you can tell that the chef or the person in the kitchen is trying to do as little as possible. Often times they will make food in bulk and put it out so that they then can forget about the buffet for a while and do other things, or nothing at all. That was not the case here. The chef was frequently bringing out very small amounts. That helped to make sure that the food on the buffet was constantly fresh and never dried out. It was obvious that he was doing the opposite of what I've seen at other places by doing everything that he could to make sure that the customers had great food and a great experience. The worst part about my meal was my own fault. I made the assumption that since it was a buffet the food would have been made at a lower quality and that it would require seasoning. The first thing that I did without even tasting any of the food was salt it and that was a big mistake. I tried every single item on the buffet and none of it actually ended up needing any seasoning whatsoever. I can't believe that this Buffet is less than $10. The place was moderately busy but there was so much seating that it didn't matter. I was able to sit immediately, be waited on immediately, and begin browsing the buffet immediately. That is somewhat important to me because I had other things that I needed to do and I didn't want to be there forever. The staff was also very friendly. My waiter was friendly, and there was an older gentleman who came out from time to time just to ask everybody if everything was okay and if the food was okay. I assume that this was the owner or a manager. If you haven't tried this place I strongly recommend it."
