"I was suspicious of the negative reviews on here with there being so many fabulous reviews, but after experiencing the service and the cuisine I now see that the people giving positive reviews must have had no previous experience with fine dining and definitely no experience in the restaurant industry. The atmosphere was on point but the staff was inexperienced...far too inexperienced for the price point and the level of dining Providence is advertising. We waited at the bar for our table and our drinks were good although it took the bartender an abnormally long time to pour 1 glass of whiskey neat and make 1 mixed drink. We were seated with menus but no wine list (which we had to request) and when the server finally showed up she lead with ok what can I get you? No specials, no request for drink orders, no explanation of the menu. So the first thing I tried to order she says oh we don 't have that. We 're out. Oh, also we don 't have.... Anyway, skipping to the actual meal. My boyfriend 's salad appeared on the menu to be similar to a Cesar salad but with an anchovy and crushed garlic dressing and parmesan fluff . It was lettuce with shaved parmesan and actual strips of anchovy. I think the dressing was still something close to Cesar. He ordered the braised beef short rib. It was very small and very over cooked with no flavor. Supposed to come with rosemary parmesan fries and shaved asparagus. It came with shoestring fries like at Steak and Shake and just cut up asparagus. I ordered Duck Hash Skillet -Duck confit, soft egg, duck fat crispy potatoes, vegetable hash, bacon vinaigrette, pickled shishito peppers which was really a tasteless duck quarter with with sweet potatoes and some greens and an egg. I should have taken pictures to do this justice. It looked nothing like the pictures they have rotating across the screen in the restaurant and it tasted nothing like the description. We also had to request water glasses and there was never an offer for us to order additional drinks. My boyfriend did have 1 glass of wine which tasted like it had been open for at least a month. We did notice the other 2 servers engaging with their tables much much more than ours did so some of them are trying. Our server wasn 't even fit for waffle house. The restaurant has high ambitions and a good idea but they do not have the kitchen staff to support such a menu and they do not have the service staff to support the atmosphere they are attempting. We spent far too much money here for what we received and we would not recommend this place to anyone."
