"Stopped for lunch and to kill some time before checking in to our hotel. We had the tater tots which were good but needed something. The actual tot on it’s on lacked seasoning I think but the overall flavor with the toppings was good. They are filling so if sharing between two, be aware. I had the chicken sandwich that had a tomato jam with arugula and an aioli of some kind. It was very good. Needed to fork and knife it but so good. I subbed the chips it came with for the Brussels sprouts which were also delicious. My husband got the burger with Parmesan fries and he enjoyed it. We also drank a few beers. I had a cranberry ginger sour that was good. We were sat by a fire place that was lovely on the cold day. Great place if you’re looking for a unique menu and drinks!"

"This is probably my favorite breakfast spot overall in the south Charlotte area (which is the only area I frequent typically haha). The menu boasts plenty of options, from typical southern staples to slightly healthier fares. I recently came in on the morning of my birthday and was so happy with my chorizo egg scramble! It was delicious and packed with so much flavor. Their coffee has left a little to be desired if you like it strong, but they are such a pleasant waitstaff and the atmosphere is so fun so it pretty much all makes up for it. But yes- if I could change one thing there I would ask for stronger HOT coffee and cold brew!"

"The food was great. But a patron without a reservation slipped the hostess and was seated in a prime area before patrons with reservations. We were seated toward the back and waited about minutes without drinks or being acknowledged. A person that seemed to be the manager brought us free biscuits and then our waitress came who had a section in a completely different area. The food and drinks came quickly and once we got a waitress she was good. Just very disappointing to be ignored for that long at a restaurant."

"on the way to an eating tour in asheville we went past mayfels, there was a huge Beignet sign on the way that caught our eyes. it is a cute louisiana inspired restaurant that is dog friendly. we immediately decided that we will come back before the end of our trip and sure enough that we stayed here for a late breakfast/early lunch on the last day. the service was fast and the staff was very friendly. the food was so good! I was already in new orleans and always garnelen étouffée and that's up there! big taste, much garnel and crust fish, nothing else than a small hot sauce was needed. my man got the keks and gravitation and eaten the whole plate. the cookies were amazing and the perfect portion! I can't expect to travel back in the future. we ate the beignets so fast, so we don't get to get a photo of it."

"My family went here today and had a sweet waitress. However we waited an hour for our food and it wasn't busy at all. Just to hear a fight break out in the kitchen and a different waitress threw a plate of food at the cook. After that happened the cook went outside and we left without having food. "We've been for weekend brunch, the place is happening, energetic and good. This time was a week day lunch, the place was almost empty. Service was still good and food came out fast.
