"Decided to try The Licking for some comfort food at lunchtime. There were 3 tables seated and a full staff. We were seated and waited a bit for someone to deliver us a menu and take our drink order. The music is deafening. Being partially deaf, it is very difficult to hear the waitress let alone have a conversation with your lunch partner. Our behinds were literally vibrating from the bass. One song had profanities in it and inappropriate slang words. We placed our order andit arrived hot and looked amazing. As we dug into our food we were never checked on. The food is amazing but I felt a bit over priced. It might be their location? We finally asked the bus boy to get our waitress, a couple of to go boxes andour bill. When we asked for a refill, we were sharply told, ?we don?t hand out free refills?! We were a bit surprised considering we spent well over $50 for lunch including a 20% tip. Sodas do not cost that much. If the music was turneddown and staff a bit more friendly, we would consider visiting again. The food was good and flavorful."
