"Decided to try The Licking for some comfort food at lunchtime. There were 3 tables seated and a full staff. We were seated and waited a bit for someone to deliver us a menu and take our drink order. The music is deafening. Being partially deaf, it is very difficult to hear the waitress let alone have a conversation with your lunch partner. Our behinds were literally vibrating from the bass. Great place to go every once in a while .....if you don't like your food really seasoned then this place is not for you other than that it hit the spot. The mystery drink is VERY sweet bit I am a sweet tooth person. My food did come cooked to order but make sure you pack your patience Expect to wait !!!

Let me tell you....the wait was long but so worth it. The atmosphere was energetic. Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins was playing on the TV and the music was hitting. The wait staff was friendly and accommodating. The food was surprisingly very good. I had high expectations and they were met. The mystery drink was fantastic. The drink alone is worth 4 stars. Give it a try. It's worth it.

This spot is a solid 3.5. The Licking Orlando was like if Hooters and Red Lobster had a kid, while rap artists sang the lullabies. You have to experience it to be believe it. Servers wore booty shorts that said “WTF”…not sure why, in terms of branding, but I guess it goes?But all jokes aside, the food was good! The fish was really flavorful and the shrimp quesadilla as well; both tasted very fresh. Mac and cheese was also solid, but wasn’t as fresh as the rest of the meal, definitely was out sitting for awhile before being served. Our server was attentive and kind. I liked her attitude.I don’t see myself dining-in again as the atmosphere just wasn’t for me but I would definitely order to go....
