"I spent $470 on a Christmas celebration dinner for 2. I left with a lingering bad feeling for spending this kind of money after receiving such poor service. Drinks appetizers were good, but all went steeply downhill after waiting 1/2 hr for entrees....My Surf Turf fillet Mignon was cooked to the size of an Oreo Cookie. (No exaggeration. due to the wait and no waiters in sight, I regrettably did not return it. After another 1//2 hr wait to order coffee dessert, we gave up got our check. We now wonder if the poor service was due to the restaurant being busy or if the 5-6 police at the restaurant entrance when we were leaving. What is no mystery is that I will not return to what used to be called a “Clip Joint”"

"A more elegant brunch/lunch place with a more open kitchen so you can see the cooks work! I highly recommend this place for brunch, the drinks are incredible and beautiful! I got the Good Witch and it was SO tasty. There was a drink called Purple Rain that's SO pretty! I very rarely see purple drinks that beautiful and Felicia. The burrata was a delicious meal but we shared it as an appetizer. The condiments with it were amazing! The daily popover (which is close to a yorshire pudding texture) is delightful but huge! We didn't realize it's came with 2 and it doesn't state that on the menu so recommend sharing it with one or even two people! I got the avocado baked eggs and it was delicious but a bit odd to eat. It was a whole avocado, cut in half, with a poached egg in each half but I want expecting the skin to still be on the avocado so it was awkward to eat. Overall it was delicious but the lack of descriptions to include important notes for the meals is the only reason I gave it a 4 and not a 5. I wish the menu made mention that there were skins on the avocados or that the waiter could have looked at my party of 6 and suggested we split 3 popovers out at least make mention how big they are (we ordered 5 of them on top of our meals, drinks, and other appetizers and so it became wasteful). I want to add, for accessibility reasons: The restrooms are an adventure, I had to go upstairs and down a hall to get to it. There are elevators for those that can't take stairs though! Just a bit of a journey to get there."

But when both the food and wait times are lacking, something 's got to give.I was excited to try my first St. Louis barbecue and was just a little hungry--I didn 't want a huge meal with sides and a basket of bread. So their menu looked perfect to me--two different varieties of mini sliders and even individual ribs for $3. I sat on the patio and ordered the brisket sliders and one rib. I was asked if I wanted the spicy or sweet barbecue sauce on the side, and opted for spicy.The food came out rather quickly. It was the first time in my life I had tasted tough brisket. What a disappointment. Brisket should be fatty, salty, soft to chew. This was stringy and dry. I dipped it in the sauce, which was good, but couldn 't save the meat. I did love the garlic-toasted bun. I hoped the rib might be better, since the menu had called it falling off the bone. Unfortunately, GNAWING off the bone was the best I could do. That piece of meat wasn 't worth $3.My server was at first very friendly and attentive, but when they checked on me at the end of my meal, I said I 'd like the check as soon as they were able. Fifteen minutes later the check was brought, and ten minutes after that my card was returned. I actually took the receipt with the tip inside because I hadn 't seen my server in ages and needed to catch a bus (I 'd already missed one).I used their restroom while I was inside. They are very spacious and clean.I wanted to return on a hungrier day and try their pork steak, but I 'm not sure I want to spend $20 if the meat will be the same quality this was. In a city known for its BBQ, they 're going to have to step it up."

"It was our first time at Jamieson's and we were here for the 5lb Burger Challenge. I was doing the challenge, and my family came along to watch. The staff was really into it and really paid attention to what my wife and son needed. The good really was great, even though I did not complete the challenge. "Food is fabulous. Not a ton of choices, but the selections are varied enough. Only one dessert needed-Whiskey Cake. Great appetizer in candied bacon with aioli also phenomenal. My girlfriend had bacon shrimp and grits and both were super tasty. Even a basic chicken and bacon on sourdough sandwich was super yummy. Food is fresh and from scratch and it’s obvious. Not terribly expensive either. $95 for two drinks, appetizer, two dinner and dessert. We’ve been twice and loved it even more the second time. Everything came out fast as well. We had our dinner maybe five minutes after our appetizer was eaten. We will be back."

The flight that I selected featured an array of Blanton's and Maker's Mark each with its own distinct profile that went hand in hand with our meal choices. The service was excellent, with a warm and welcoming staff that was attentive and knowledgeable. They guided us through the extensive bourbon selection and ensured our dining experience was smooth and enjoyable. The only thing holding back a perfect five star rating is the slightly smaller portion of the burger, which although delicious, left me wanting a bit more. All in all, North on Bourbon combines a wide variety of quality bourbons with a delightful menu, creating a harmonious symphony of flavors that bourbon enthusiasts and foodies will appreciate.
