"I stumbled over Hot Breads Bakery and Cafe and was looking for new dosa places to try Houston. If you do not know what a dosa is, it is a fermented crepe of rice batter and black lenses and typically filled with vegetables, potatoes and/or meat. I was really happy with the private parking lot with lots of space, and I really liked the small café feeling of Indian bakery. They had everything from a range of breads, cakes, samosas and other snack foods on the display. I've been embarrassed with the owner and found out that this place was open for about a year. I came on a weekday in the early afternoon with a Dosa addict. They offer a variety of vegetarian cans as well as meat. Your meat supply is from half a source so you are sure to eat meat here if you are a Muslim. I personally ordered the Pepper Chicken Dosa (medium spicy) for $8.29, and my friend ordered the Chicken Tikka Dosa (mild) for $8.29. The Dosas came with two Chutneys and also a small bowl corma. I was told by the owner that if a vegetarian dosa ordered it would take place with a small bowl of Sambar. The Dosas were wrapped more like a sandwich wrap than the typical Dosa I had earlier, but I liked it. The Pepper Chicken Dosa was quite spicy, so I wish I had ordered the milder Chicken Tikka Dosa. I can usually finish a dosa in a session, but I was pretty full after I had eaten half. It's really full. Overall, for the price and quality of the Hot Breads, it is a winner, and I will definitely come back to try more items on their menu. My friend also got two croissants; one filled with chicken and the other with goats. She said they were good and I was eating for breakfast. She said, however, that she should not heat her too long, or she will become too oily, and you will feel disgusting with yourself. WTF! What to order: -Chicken Tikka Dosa for $8.29 Pros: -Private parking - Unique Indian bakery with many options Negative: - No one."
