"About 8:00 Friday night I called in for a take out order 3 eggs, scrambled side of bacon, home, fries, and toast. I also asked for a chicken salad sandwich. I should have known to check the bag. Even know I repeated the order to Melissa on the phone and I still had to ask did she put grape jelly in my bag and the answer was oh I’m sorry I forgot I’ll get it right away. Well when I got home I had a chicken salad sandwich. I got three eggs scrambled instead of bacon I got burnt ham and no toast I called and I asked for Melissa, she’s the one I actually answered the phone again and I told her what happened and she says if I want come back for the bacon and toast now I live 20 minutes away why...

Dutchess Diner is different, a good difference. We entered the diner and were greeted by the owner. Clean, organized, modern and friendly environment. After being seated the wait for a waiter/waitress was super short. The service was perfect, the food had flavor, amazingly delicious. Their soups are smooth and homely. I now go to the Dutchess Diner regularly, 5 stars.

"I was here once for a business meeting and all we did was drink. Great service tho. But I came back by myself after a long day and had a nice dinner. I ordered the Branzino A La Plancha... It was Mediterranean Sea Bass, roasted cauliflower, grape tomatoes.....Then before I left I had some room for the Apple Cobbler and Vanilla Ice Cream.... "A solid pizza place for speciality slices! Came here looking for a quick bite before heading home. Service was as sweet and polite as can be as we ordered a few regular slices and a white slice. While you wait, enjoy the scenes of Italy painted on the walls. The white slice came with a thin spreading of ricotta with plenty of herbs and garlic on top. It was delightful. The garlic actually had a sweetness to it which was not offensive. And the undercarriage is quite thin but still soft. The regular slice on the other hand, not my favorite. Still thin, still cheesy, but I wish the sauce had a bit more flavor to round it out. Overall, if you find yourself starving after a hike or a walk in the area, would gladly recommend this place!"

"We dined at this restaurant in December 2019. I am the only vegan in our group, so I was pleased to find vegan mozzarella on the menu. I carefully ordered and double-checked with the server to ensure that the crust and sauce were also vegan. To my surprise, the restaurant used Violife cheese rather than the typical Daiya, and it was delicious. The owner even stopped by to chat with me, mentioning that his wife is dairy-free and they have made an effort to find the best vegan mozzarella. He also mentioned that she has been experimenting with vegan desserts, some of which they now offer. As we finished our meal, the owner brought me a container of shredded cheese to take home, suggesting the best way to make a grilled cheese sandwich with it. The level of awareness and options for vegans at this pizzeria is excellent."

I did not understand her English, she gave me the wrong food and refused to replace it as any good normal business owner would do. Refused!! The restaurant is very dark, stinks, it’s dirty and I very unsanitary. I will NEVER return there and I encourage others to do the same."

"Accommodating service, delicious food, gracious host and chef all in one...this place is a score for Poughkeepsie. Perfect before a performance at the Bardavon! We arrived late for our reservation, had questions about the menu, and needed to rush to the show...not exactly dream customers but we were treated amazingly by our server, Destiny!
