"I first heard about and tasted Carvel when I was just a teenager living in Southern California (I 'm 67 now). Carvel has pretty much disappeared from SoCal, so when we were traveling around the Hamptons, and I saw a Carvel store, I said outloud, Gee, I haven 't had Carvel in YEARS. My husband immediately turned the car around, parked, and in HE went and came out with a vanilla soft serve for me. I thought that was so sweet of him, and I was soooooooo excited to taste the soft serve again. It had been AT LEAST 50 years since I last had it. Yikes. Anyway, it was as good as I remember it. Rich, velvety, texture, excellent vanilla representation. So delicious. I loved every single bite of it and am so glad they 're still around, even if not in Calif."
