"I stayed at the attached Hampton hotel on business and was looking for a great dinner where I could dine alone. I was told by the desk to try this restaurant. I walked in and was astounded at how beautiful the restaurant and bar were, it was during the Christmas season. I was given a corner table by the hostess which I loved. I loved the ambiance of the restaurant and was impressed by the menu (I have worked or consulted for some very high restaurants/retailers in Manhattan). I had a waitress, if I'm correct her name was Amy. She came off as very professional but in some ways sweet. She was a great waitress. She brought me my order perfectly timed from my cocktail to my wine to my appetizer to the entree and to the dessert. I knew I picked the right place when I ordered a Negroni and it was perfectly made. I had a great salad but I was most impressed by the cassoulet. I've eaten in Paris, Montreal, NYC etc. and it was probably the best cassoulet I have ever had. It was delicious! Everything else was also very good including my chocolate dessert. Unfortunately my espresso was poorly made. The flavor was there but not the technique. After my meal I felt so comfortable that I decided to stay a bit longer and asked Amy if the restaurant carried Amaro. She didn't know what they were and the bartender Peter immediately came to my table and explained what he had. To my surprise he had Amaro Lucano, a spirit from my wife's small town in Italy. Very hard to find. The bar has an awesome menu of wine, spirits and beers. He gave me the drink on the house and recommended that I try one of his drinks called a Boulevardier. It was excellent. Most importantly Peter was very professional and maybe because of my being in the food business too, he told me about the restaurant and gave me a tour. I totally felt his passion about his job which was great to see! Anyway he was a great bartender. In short, I totally loved this restaurant from its ambiance to its menu to its staff. Wish it were in NYC. Can't wait to go back!"

"I was apprehensive about trying to eat here, as I have multiple food allergies. I was there with a group of 18 and not only was my meal fantastic, but the staff was on the ball! Everyone was amazingly friendly and helpful, the screened porch was fabulous and the food...well, I just cannot say enough about the Steelhead curry. It’s honestly the best curry I’ve ever eaten. Can’t wait to return!"

"The food does not fit aesthetics at all, and this is a compliment to eat, not to decor. A place that has a fleet license should have more beautiful tables, like those sitting in the pedestrian zone outside Macy's. I think the glass my bourbon got into might have had more weight than the chair I sat in. The [black] ambience does not make me bring people here, although the food is delicious. I've never been in the original place, but the UWS site was very cheeky looking and feeling it actually feels like an old timey ice salon (which again, does not fit on the menu, or the fact that you have a liquor license.... . I paid $45 for chicken parm, a tiny side salad and a cocktail, but I felt as if I were in a mall to swallow what the price. We went over the street to Tavern at the corner to get another drink after dinner, and we sat there twice as long as we had a complete meal (including appetizer in this facility). Really crispy, chintzy aesthetics."

I also liked that they default to using wide flat noodles (not the balanced pad Thai style). **Cons:** The menu indicated that shrimp and squid would be included, but my dish came standard with shrimp and fish cake. I ordered the Char Kway Teow with added pork, but it seems the cook might have swapped the shrimp for pork instead, possibly thinking shrimp and pork don’t work well together. There was no red Chinese sausage, and I had to add extra dark soy sauce to get the right flavor. Additionally, my dish lacked shrimp, and there was no complimentary Chinese tea option. Just a heads up: they only accept cash. The medium-sized portion was not as wide in noodles as I expected, although it was about double the width of pad Thai. **Rating Summary:** - Fish cake: Excellent (only for CKT) - Overall experience: 6/10 - Ambiance: 5/10 - Overall rating: 6/10"

"My husband kept getting pop up ads of this restaurant on his phone and he loved how it looked and the drink’s looked enticing so we made a reservation. We got there a half hour early so we could have drinks at the bar. My husband ordered an old fashion and they didn’t have the better bourbon that was supposed to be in the drink so he picked a different bourbon. Then they didn’t have bitters, so they couldn’t make the drink. I chose the rumble bee that was supposed to have peach nectar, but the put in lemon instead, but it was still a good drink. We choose the chicken dumplings and tempura vegetables as our appetizers. The tempura was good, but the chicken dumplings were not. My husband chose the Seabass as his entrée and I chose the Mongolian beef. Both of those were very good. We then chose the chocolate sea salt, caramel soufflé as our dessert. The dessert was good, but it did not have caramel or sea salt in it. The service was good, but overall I would say we will not be back again."

"Today is my birthday, and my husband invited me to have dinner here. The two of us ordered six dishes, wow! The portion was so big that I couldn't finish it, so I ended up packing it up and taking it back. When I started ordering, I ordered husband and wife's lung slices, a famous snack in our hometown. My Shandong husband didn't understand, so he directly told me what's delicious about my lung slices and who should eat that! "Amber is really close to where I live so it's been on my list of places to try for a bit now! You can definitely tell this is a local favorite spot, since I see lots of takeout orders coming from here every time I walk past it, and when I went for the first time the other day-there were lots of people dining in for lunch! They have great deals at lunch, with lots of different specials for everyone! I got to sushi rolls, with miso soup and a salad for only $13! I got the crunchy spicy tuna roll and shrimp tempura roll and thought both were delicious and fresh testing! Will definitely be coming back here soon to try some more lunch specials!"

"First, they were able to accommodate a group of 9 at 6pm without reservation by make shifting a table outside— thanks for saving the day! Like always the food is incredible. Everything marked spicy is definitely pretty spicy, depending on your tolerance, but felt the heat and had to keep eating the coconut rice (which was delicious). "If you complain about this place, you do not know quality. Everything was spectacular when I went to the restaurant! The servers immediately greeted me with a smile, which felt so important to me. Sit very fast with me and ask me what I wanted to drink! Your menu is raised! So many different options! Your fried Kalamari is perfectly seasoned and rightly roasted! Your crabs are perfect! The best CRAB RANGOON EVER! Not too hot! Not too sharp! When my food came, it was worthy and delicious! Absolutely nothing average or less par. It was all about expectations! The Bakmi Ayam is legit, and the Nasi Goreng was tasteful! I went to this place almost every week and their food, service and atmosphere never disappointed! Seeing all these bad reviews is disappointing when considering how I addressed many people here and they never said anything that was less than amazing. Kill the NEGATIVE REVIEWS!! "Yum yum! We ordered hainanese chicken rice, beef rendang and char kway teow. Order was ready for pickup in 15min during lunchtime on a Sunday. Tip: it *seems* that you can place an order on their website but apparently it doesn’t work and they don’t receive orders placed on their website. The best way I find is to look at the menu on their website and call them to place your order. They plated the hainanese chicken rice beautifully even though it was a takeout order. Will come back soon to try the laska and get a whole hainanese chicken to go!"
