"I've eaten here for a long time and went back recently after I've been thinking about a travel channel show about Singapore and Hainanese Huhn. We came right when she opened for dinner, so it was nice – no crowds, the attention of the server was all on us. The food was also served quickly; then we were the only ones in the restaurant back then. We ordered the Roti Canai. It was nice toasty and warm. The diving sauce has a nice spice. The pad thai was tasteful, but a little sweet; it needs some spices. We also had the coffee substitute ribs that tasted a little like Beijing spare ribs. As a fan of spicy food, I am always excited to try new Malaysian restaurants, and I was not disappointed by this. Penang Garden is located on the McCarthy Ranch and anchored in the middle of a huge strip of shopping mall by a 99 ranch. Although it is surrounded by so many other restaurants, it stands out for its unique and tasteful food. There was a fairly long waiting time to get a table, and the service was actually quite poor – they forgot our drinks and were really slow to take our order first. Nevertheless, I would return to the Penang Garden in the future.
