"The owner was a great guy and welcomed us really nicely. While this was a great entry to our experience at Spice Symphony I don 't believe the food lived up to the 4.7 rating shown on OpenTable (as of June 2022). The food was not authentic Indian food. For someone who has dined at multiple Indian restaurants, I wouldn 't recommend this place to someone who has also dined at multiple other authentic indian 's you will not leave satisfied. A couple of points to note, for example, the Dal Makhani (buttered lentils) came out glowing red after it had obviously been drowned in food colouring. That said the taste of the food was not terrible, it was a little bland but I believe someone who is experiencing Indian food for the first time could even enjoy themselves. For our starters, we ordered the Chilli paneer dry and the New Delhi Chaat. The chilli paneer was good as an indo chinese dish. The New Delhi Chaat lacked the crunch and sauces that you would expect from it. For our mains, we ordered the Dal Makhani, Gobi Aloo and Dal Tadka. Gobi Aloo and Dal tadka lacked flavour and Dal Makhani just was not the correct tasting dal. Overall a good human experience not so much on the food front. Ah, also excellent ice cold beers!"

"My friend and I were on the lookout for a new restaurant and stumbled upon this hidden gem! Chicago Curry House is a spot that everyone should visit and try some food. Everyone is welcome here! You absolutely must try the chicken pakora—it was delicious. We also ordered the lamb curry, chicken makhani (butter chicken), goat biryani, and garlic naan. Yes, we ordered quite a bit, but it was totally worth it! The wonderful gentleman who owns the place even let me sample a mango lassi, which was also fantastic. I will definitely be returning! Thank you so much for everything, and see you next time!"

"We were back to Swadist but this time, we dined in. The restaurant is very nice and has planty of seats. We ordered Pepper Lamb for appetizer. The meat was very tender and the sauce was amazing. We then had Butter Chicken Desi Style and Goat Laas Maal for entrees which we paired with Garlic Naan. The Naans were super crispy and garlicky. They went well with every dishes. The chicken and goat were both very tender. They were cooked perfectly. We loved their sauces a lot, which we had to order another order of Naan to dip in the sauce. The Laas Maal is a must-have. It was spicy and flavorful. We have no negative feeling about the restaurant at all. However, we think the portions was getting smaller compared to when we ordered to take out.The host was very friendly and attentive. She checked up on us regularly and helped us to choose our foods. The ambience was warm and cozy."

"Tried their weekend buffet.. service was good .. they were very attentive and kept checking on us if we need anything.. we liked their tandoori chicken, butter chicken gravy and paneer makni.. they kept 5 veg curry’s but only 3 non veg dishes overall.. I was little disappointed with limited options for Non veg and not having biriyani in the buffet.. I hope they can improve their buffet menu.."

"excellent eating, quick service, friendly atmosphere. although they have to order rice separately from the gut, it is very much worth the $3. I ordered spicy and was put on the test. I loved it. if you?re not a fan of really spicy food I?d definitely recommend order mild. I can wait tomorrow until I have my rest?"

"The food and ambience was good. I had requested for a table inside since we had seniors in our party. However we were seated in a booth directly opposite to the main door. Every-time the door opened (which was quite frequent) we were exposed to the gust of cold air! Also it would have been nice if they had done something (like other restaurants do) for the two birthdays we were celebrating in our group."

"I absolutely love Zaika. My boyfriend and I eat there regularly and sometimes order delivery when we're feeling lazy. The food is consistently delicious no matter what we order, and the staff is so pleasant and friendly. They even recognize us as regulars, and always make sure we are happy and comfortable. Thank you, Zaika!"

"Have heard and read good reviews about this place many times. I would say definitely a very nice place, if not the best Indian restaurant in Baltimore region. Food tasted authentic and prices are not at all expensive. Have to add that decoration is beautiful and a spacious restaurant. One suggestion: please choose Indian music for background ambience We ordered Mint Raj Kachori, which brought back the nostalgia of having those back in Delhi, so 5 stars for that. The Lahsooni Murgh malai tikka was very good too. Chhole Bhature was tasty, but chhole was not warm enough and portion felt not enough for accompanying 2 Bhatures. In the Entree section, Chef's biriyani was very tasty, again a little more in quantity would be better. Achari Murgh was agian delicious. Waitress/waiter were friendly and prompt. The table was not very clean, so that took away half star, wishing item portions are little more amd chhole was not hot, took away other half. Otherwise I would have given it 5 stars."

"Truly authentic Indian cuisine serving Halal/Zabihah meat in a homey setting. Their food was absolutely delicious, specifically the Chicken Tikka Masala. Also make sure to order some fresh Naan, rice, and try their Lassi: a traditional yogurt blended smoothie-like delight. The peach Lassi is our favorite! However, expect to spend 1-2 hours here (during dinner hours) as the kitchen is a bit slow preparing your fresh meal and the service is extremely slow. Our server visited us once in the 40 minutes we sat down at our table and that was just to take our order. They had food runners who brought us water and part of our food, but we had to flag our waitress down for the second half of our food. (Saturday 8:30pm) Others have also noticed this poor service during dinner time (even with a reservation) so I would recommend visiting on a weeknight or early on the weekend, around 6 pm for an authentic Indian experience!"

"Easter. The restaurant was very clean. Our waitress had just begun her shift, so she was a bit unsure about the menu. The food was outstanding."

"We liked our time at Sarangi. We arrived on a Saturday evening, and it was decently busy.We got chili veg momos, kadai paneer and garlic naans. The momos were wrapped in a tangy sauce which was sweet laced with elements of spicy. It tasted pretty good, hitting the spot. The paneer wasn’t your typical North Indian paneer, with the gravy base being a little bland, but overall it wasn’t dismal. We liked it. We also got the chai, which had just the right amount of spices in it.The service was prompt. They serve drinks as well. You can get Indian beers such as Kingfisher and Bira White here as well.Sarangi is located very close to UNC, Charlotte and there’s ample parking outside. Restrooms are in the back and were clean. I’ll be back here to try their non vegetarian dishes, and to support this small business which tries its best. Sarangi isn’t exactly cheap, but it serves good food."
