eating was amazing! the butter chicken was so tasteful and the chicken was really tender, the naan was delicious, and the saffron rice was paired with everything. the staff is also super nice and the food came out very quickly! 10/10 would recommend!

We order little spicy but it?s turn out very hot and spicy that my stomach is hurt, my son in-law feel dizzy and sweating. We order lamb bariyani, Chicken masala, coconut shrimp, garlic nan, spinach dishes and beer. Food Taste good but can?t handle the spicy.

Essence of India is my favorite Indian in all of Chicago. If you're looking for incredible, authentic Indian food, you can't find better than Essence. If you're looking for a mild, plain old butter chicken, perhaps a Thai restaurant serving Indian food would be more your speed.
