"Went here in search of a delicious pastrami in the neighborhood considering the jewish community in south Williamsburg and omg, exceeded my expectations.First off this place has been around for a while and is clearly well-loved. Went on a weekday and it was quite busy with a takeout line that never seemed to dwindle. The waiter who helped us was so kind and funny. He gave us extra utensils so we could try what both me and my fiancé ordered and i’m glad he did.Matzo ball soup was simple but delicious. The knish was so soft and flavorful on the inside. When i ordered the pastrami, I asked the waiter how he takes his and he replied “grilled with onion on rye” so i got that and wow! What a delicious sandwich. Didn’t even need mustard! The pastrami was moist, the grilled onions added so much delicious sweetness. It may not be as stacked as the popular manhattan staples but what you get here is a sandwich you can actually finish and thoroughly enjoy. Highly recommend. And i’ll be so bold to say i think it’s better than Katz’s!Also for those wondering, no, you do not have to be jewish to go. Obviously most of the clientele is jewish but we were treated so well and felt so welcomed even though we are not jewish. So do yourself a favor and go!!"
