"Went here in search of a delicious pastrami in the neighborhood considering the jewish community in south Williamsburg and omg, exceeded my expectations.First off this place has been around for a while and is clearly well-loved. Went on a weekday and it was quite busy with a takeout line that never seemed to dwindle. The waiter who helped us was so kind and funny. He gave us extra utensils so we could try what both me and my fiancé ordered and i’m glad he did.Matzo ball soup was simple but delicious. The knish was so soft and flavorful on the inside. When i ordered the pastrami, I asked the waiter how he takes his and he replied “grilled with onion on rye” so i got that and wow! What a delici...

This is an iconic restaurant in the Jewish Williamsburg area in Brooklyn. This place is an old place that serves typical Jewish food. Nothing fancy, kishes, pastrami sandwich, Kugel sesame chicken etc.The food is pretty good, but not outstanding. Nice people, pays to visit if you're in the area.

It’s Ironic that everything great at this place is for the opposite reason then what I would usually rate a place forIt’s old like nothing has changed since 1950The menu is simple has not either changed since 1950But that’s exactly the reason I love itthe food is simple. Jewish traditional food, but it’s great it’s not trying to be trendy it’s trying to make you feel at homeWalk in you might want to bolt but don’t order something eat it and then decide
