"We were a group of 6 celebrating birthdays. None of us had ever been to Wildwood before, and we had an amazing experience. The food was fantastic; everyone enjoyed their meals. The service was excellent, although our server was quite busy and the pace was a bit slow at times, she kept us informed about our order. Overall, we had no complaints. I will definitely be returning. Thank you, Wildwood, for a lovely celebration!"

"We have thrived in Michelin-star restaurants all over the world and have always trusted this review as our experiences were always phenomenal. Yesterday Barndiva was a great disappointment. Our dishes were lacking in sophistication, surprise or the elevated artistry we would expect from a Michelin cook. The dishes were either too strong spices or oiled or lack of taste. We could hear from some neighboring tables (as we were crowded together) that they had a similar experience of spicy or inspiring tastes. Even the food presentation was simple and simple. Our service was subordinate and uncoordinated. We had to ask many times to refill our water to cool off the excessively seasoned first course. You missed clearing our plates before a next course arrived. We also had a birthday dinner and they only remembered at the end of the evening. We have asked for basic food allergies substitutions. The waitress was not aware of some dishes. It seemed to the boss lacked the ability to swing on some of the dishes and the result was even more disappointing for the dishes he modified. Note, some dishes were as intended and still subpar. The total value was not there for the meal. We have frustrated and disappointed. We had chosen Barndiva for an extraordinary birthday dinner. We've been overpaid. Even for half the price, it would still not be worth the money. We would recommend Guiso Latin Fusion for increased taste profiles, presentation and creativity for a fraction of the cost."

"Johnny's had delicious food, but it was not presented very well, and they didn't have any steak knives. The ambiance was more like a hotel lobby than a rustic Italian restaurant. The lighting was too bright, but the music was good. Overall, it was a good experience, but they need to work on their lighting and decor."

"we sat outside, as it was a nice afternoon. it was a bit loud when dogs bark. service was good and pleasant, not hurry! we had drinks and appetizers of crabcake, nori and calamari. then we ordered rose to eat. there were beautiful tuna, more nori, haddock and zuppa de peche. all were very good and perfectly presented. the Lime cake was with its tartness on the square and the coffee was good."

"We stopped in around the middle of the afternoon. Service was very friendly. We ordered our drinks which were pretty good. I tried one of the local beers which did not disappoint. The food came quickly and boy was that good. None of us left a drop on our plates. Definitely will be back on the next trip."

"Before I arrived at the restaurant, I had read a previous review mentioning being overcharged for a frozen margarita. I was disappointed to find that they tried to overcharge me for 2 out of the 4 margaritas we had ordered. When I questioned the extra $4, the server explained that it was because they used fresh pineapple juice, which I found to be a silly response. I suggested that they should inform customers of the additional cost of $2 on the menu before they order. I did not end up paying the extra $4, but other than this issue, everything else was fine."

"Terrible. Sushi was not good quality. It was super expensive the all-you-can-eat. And to top it off, the waitress was super passive-aggressive. We left one roll of sushi that tasted so bad, and I respectfully tried to tell her that it was not to our liking. She rebutted that the fish is super fresh and that there is no way that it tastes bad instead of easily not charging us for the left over sushi. Because, yes, if you leave a roll of sushi, they will charge you how much the roll is worth and that roll in particular was 15.00$ extra. She charged us the 15.00$ extra for leaving a roll that tasted like plastic and laughed because she thought we were wrong and making it up. So the bill was hefty and the food was terrible, and to top it off, the service doesn’t do anything to compensate for the bad food. I paid and left and never looked back. It does not deserve a 4.1 rating, that is being generous. Plus it is not a buffet, it is all you can eat but it is crazy expensive."

Their rival dinners and restaurants could learn from this amazingly well-trained staff of courtesy professionals. Your dishes are affordable and they are well worth it with the portion size. When I'm in New Jersey, we always make sure we eat there before we go. Friends took me there my first time, and now I recommend it to everyone in the area that what is a good meal without the cost or high cost. My personal favorite dish is their Irish breakfast option when my childhood had a taste, certainly it, where successful in creating it."

"I am a “normal” here when I travel for work. I love this place absolutely. The food, drinks, the atmosphere (especially outside and in the bar! . I was literally never disappointed and this is a LOT because I am a huge foodie! If you have a chance to have a drink and a couple of food with Danita please make an effort! "If you are looking for a private room for a party I would recommend HIGHLY La Piazza in Merrick! I worked with Ashley on a surprise board for my husband. I cannot say enough about the professionalism, hospitality and quality of La Piazza! Ashley was so keen to create a party tailored to my husband Mike. We had to re-sedulate it from February to March because of the Covid spike and they were so accommodating....no problem ever! Our party hosting this day, Erica, was exceptional....she was there to anticipate my need to keep the party running smoothly to keep the decoration, the video presentation that we had planned, music/micro that was requested and the timing of the dishes served. Bread baskets, water pitches wine were constantly refilled...Gases were taken drinks while the socialization and tables were kept clean all 4 hours. The food was absolutely delicious! Every dish was served hot and there was enough for seconds and even third parties! They delivered the event cake from Dortinos Bakery, which is amazing! I was able to ask him to be decorated on the subject. The event was a great success with guests who thank me and the food service rave!"
