"I must say that I had no great expectations before eating in Persephone after exploring many of the local restaurants, I had difficulty finding one that is just a little special... but that was it. Going inside was pleasant to see a clean, well-designed interior with simple, tasteful decor. We were greeted with a smile and the service was timely but not hastened. And then the food... well it far exceeded my expectations. It was beautifully designed and tasted amazing. Nothing was overcrowded and the desserts were not too sweet.. I definitely come back."

"we loved the roasted garlic appetizer, as well as the caesar with additional sardels, of which the three of us were divided. the other two diners had the suppe they liked very much. I had the lobster and steak court that I shared with my man (he goes into the act and I got the lobster). Then he shared a part of his steak with his friend who got the lamb. We ordered additional carrots and green beef and it turned out that we had both with our escape, but everything was eaten! everything was delicious and the service was excellent. we also liked the pinot noir."

"Best place in Santa Cruz County! Not only the food delicious, but the atmosphere, with two outdoor terraces, outdoor fireplace and plenty of space where your conversations were not heard by the people next to you. This place had the kindest waitress who took the time to ask me about my dog Bill. Yes, they are dog friendly!! But more than that, friendly to our four-legged family members! I can't express enough how much I enjoyed this restaurant, from food to the best dessert, that was not only delicious, but prepared by a cook that has to have a lot of pride for his creation, only by appearance. This place deserves recognition!!!"

"I am a vegan who recently moved to aptos and living near this restaurant. at my first visit I just stopped by to check it while on a walk. they have the happy cow sign at the front door. I went in to inquire more and was warmly welcomed and got a pocket format menu. I returned a few weeks later with a non- vegan cousin and we had a wonderful meal. our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and in the location to answer all my questions, also about the free dives and naan. the menu is clearly marked what is vegan and not and there are many vegan options. I had the vegan sweet vindaloo. even my lamb eating cousin liked it, as there are many portions for more than one person. I have been back since then and have the chana masala, delicious!"

"The Hideout is one of my favorite restaurants in California. The menu is amazing, and the staff and service are fantastic. You even have a great children's menu. The food is good and the portions are well dimensioned. I love the owners on site and bushes! Love this place!"
