"Hendricks Tavern is a hidden gem located in the heart of Roslyn. The service, from the valet attendants to the wait staff, was excellent and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The ambiance is warm, laid back, and relaxing. My wife had been wanting to try Hendricks Tavern for a while, so we decided to celebrate her birthday there. We made a reservation for outdoor seating and were accommodated without any issues. The food was superb! We enjoyed zucchini and eggplant chips, fried calamari, and a pizza as appetizers, all of which were delicious. For our main courses, we had Tavern BBQ Ribs and a 30oz Tomahawk Rib Eye steak, which we shared. The sides of creamed spinach, sautéed mushrooms, and hash browns were tasty, although the hash browns were a bit crunchy. Our desserts, carrot cake and homemade apple crisp, were also fantastic. The wait staff even sang happy birthday to my wife when they brought out her dessert, which was a nice touch. Overall, we had a great dining experience with delicious food, excellent service, and a relaxing atmosphere. I highly recommend giving this place a try. Thank you to everyone at Hendricks Tavern for making my wife's birthday dinner special and memorable."

"3/2- I was at 656 last night for a retirement party. It was delicious. The food was amazing and the service was fabulous. Our waitress, Cynthia was the sweetest. She was so friendly and helpful. She recommended the Tomahawk steak and it was so tender and cooked to perfection. Thanks to the owners, the Epsteins for the complimentary dessert. We will definitely be returning."

"Delightful experience with very savvy service. We were lucky to have great weather for the rooftop dining, with carefully placed umbrellas , as the wind kicked up.The beet salad with local fresh cheese and quinoa was impressive in the textures and doneness of the baby beets. The oz tenderloin was perfectly done crisp outside and juicy all through. The local bass with chimi sauce was crisp and the eggplant was tender and flavorful with a tangy sauce. Sides of chick pea fries a bit heavy , but the carrots and zucchini beautifully done , and tender. Desserts were also freshly prepared and sorbet was satisfying.Fun vibe, and we will return soon"

"the manager was very rude and denied that we had a reservation for outside. He then told us that they were sitting in this restaurant where they told them. he said there was a party for the foreign veranda, but they never showed up. the restaurant did not pay attention to the COVID regulations, as they were filled to capacity and no distance between the tables. the manager had no mask. the waiter was terrible and eating was worth bad."

"We had the most wonderful, fun and lovely experience at this restaurant. We took our daughter and her boyfriend to dinner. We sat at a high top in the bar. They had on both the Sunday night ncaa football and the Sunday night baseball game, which we love and is not always easy to find. The service was top notch. Every person working here was excellent. We had a server in training, Katie, she was as skilled and knowledgeable as any server I've ever encountered in a 5 star restaurant. We will be back. There is a fun surprise after you order your steak, I won't ruin that. Truly a terrific night"

"I have visited this restaurant for dinner several times, but I was disappointed with their brunch. We had a reservation for 1:45, but they were still taking reservations until 2:00, as I saw friends arrive after my reservation time. They closed the buffet at 22:30, only allowing us to have a few dishes as they stopped cooking certain items. The price we paid should have included a carving station. The desserts were located so far away that we didn't even see them until we were leaving. The brunch cost $60 with a 20% tip, totaling $94.00. Overall, it was not worth the money."

"Overall we had a good experience. For me, the Kobe sampler board and the truffle spaghetti stole the show. My wife had the halibut which was well seasoned and delicious. It’s a little loud for a steakhouse but being a new school steakhouse I’m guessing they didn’t want it to be stuffy and quiet. Server was a good dude.We would come back next time we getaway to SF"

"We’ve always enjoyed supporting this local restaurant. As usual, our most recent visit was an enjoyable experience. Food and service was good, however, we couldn’t help but notice how expensive their drink prices have gone up. I have to say, Galliano’s wins the prize for the most expensive Grey Goose soda I’ve ever paid for 15.25). A single Grey Goose Martini was $18.00! Sadly, we will not be returning to this restaurant in the future. We will support another local restaurant that doesn’t price gouge their local neighbors."

"I've been to this restaurant three times in the last few months. It's OUTSTANDING every time. The food is delicious, the staff is great, the noise level is perfect and the ambience is wonderful. The goat cheese and strawberries are delicious as well as the burrata and shrimp rolls. The Gnocchi is also wonderful! I really can't say enough great things about Parizade!! Don't miss the desserts! The banana Napoleon and chocolate goose dessert are both excellent!"

"bernadette was our great server! She has proposed weeping and then we let her taste. the cocktail selection is far larger than the wine selection. the scallops were amazing and perfectly cooked! the lamb flakes were tender, but while the brussel sprouts were very tasty, they were cooked irregularly. we had said bernadette, but we ate most of the dishes. a lot to our surprise the manager came by to check us out. he then said he removed the nuts spirouts from our neck. there was a very beautiful vibe and our margaritas were delicious!"

"Havent been here in awhile and went to celebrate a birthday. I noted this when I made the reservation as well as mentioned it to our server but unfortunately the birthday wasn’t acknowledged in any way; disappointing. In addition we had a reservation for a table for 5 and put us right next to the bar, also unfortunate since it was thoroughfare for staff and service people. Checked out the menu on line before choosing the restaurant and particularly went here for a specific dinner entree listed. Come to find out the actual menu had changed and the entry was no longer available or on the menu. Those are the negatives. The cocktails were good; fresh like springtime. The food was also very good. Everyone in the party enjoyed what they ordered and we all had a variety of items…steak, pasta, and seafood dishes. We ate indoors but outside dining is also available. Ive never had a bad meal here."

"Gola Restaurant used to offer delicious food and excellent service in a secluded location. We used to enjoy bringing our family and visiting friends here. However, during our recent visit, we booked an early reservation to accommodate our young child's bedtime. Despite arriving for a 6:00 dinner, we were not served until 7:45pm, while our daughter was exhausted and upset. Our waitress checked on us multiple times to apologize for the delay. We ended up having to pack up our food and leave after waiting 105 minutes. Overall, it was a disappointing experience."

"I recently dined at Nick Toni's and unfortunately, I must leave a 1-star review for my experience. During our meal, a waiter carrying a tray of drinks accidentally spilled them all over me and my husband, causing significant damage to our white clothes. We understand that accidents happen, but what truly disappointed us was the unprofessional and indifferent response from the manager. Rather than taking immediate action to rectify the situation or even offering a sincere apology, the manager displayed a complete lack of professionalism. He seemed disinterested and made no effort to address our concerns or compensate us for the damage done to our attire. It was disheartening to witness such a dismissive and unaccommodating attitude, especially from someone in a managerial position. In my opinion, the manager's conduct was entirely unacceptable and raised doubts about his ability to effectively lead and handle customer issues. Customer service is a vital aspect of any establishment, and his lack of concern demonstrated a complete disregard for the well-being and satisfaction of the diners. While the quality of the food at Nick Toni's is undeniably high, I cannot recommend this restaurant based on my experience with their unprofessional and unresponsive manager. Customer satisfaction, especially in the face of mishaps, should be a priority, and unfortunately, this fundamental principle was completely disregarded during our visit. I urge the management of Nick Toni's to address this issue promptly and institute better measures for handling such incidents in the future. Without improvements to their customer service and managerial professionalism, I believe this establishment falls short of providing a truly enjoyable dining experience.
