"one of the top 3 restaurants my friend and I were too and our favorites in charleston. eating was spectacular and our service was impeccable! we felt well looked after during our experience in the restaurant, from the bar tender, hostess, watergirl, server and waiter. we recommend this restaurant to anyone who needs a chic night in charleston/wants. there is a maisbrot and french brot starter (free). it was better than most brote, second, we ordered the charcuterie board and that was lovely. it had fun spreads and great tasting meats, including a leber spread (was good! . I had the scallops and charleston gold rice. it was outstanding! the tears melt in my mouth. the skalopps were crispy outside and tasty soft in the middle. my friend had the grilled heavy fish and she loved it so much she said it was the only best dish on our whole trip. for the side we had grotten (okay, collar green (to vinegary for me) and crispy bruise (very good! ."

"Just had a great happy hour at one of my new favorite spots. Drinks were great, food was even better! They do everything right and even HH portions are big. Can’t wait to visit again soon. Special thanks to my man and cook Adam for not letting me forget i gotta check this spot out! Ceviche was fresh and perfectly balanced, fundido was amazing with terrific consistency, tartare was crazy flavorful and unique from the typical prep, the redfish was off the wall with flavor and hush puppies were the best I ever had...moist and flavorful and not the typical super heavy dried out taste. S’mores pie was next level. One of the best desserts I’ve had in Austin or anywhere. Staff is great, cant say enough on this spot!"

"To the management: please hire someone who takes care of to go orders only. With only 2 staff members to greet and service the tables, these cannot be serviced as often as needed. We saw our food just sit at the counter. We felt terrible for the staff that continued to apologize but it’s poor management, not on their fault."

"My party of 12 a couple of weeks ago, didn't enjoy the LOUD music. We couldn't hear each other, couldn't converse at all. The food/service was top notch of course, nice to be able to park nearby without paying due to it was a Sunday. However, out of the 12, 9 complained of the LOUD noise of the live entertainment. We love ATX and live entertainment, but it really really needed to be at least half the decibels/sound level. It was deafening to say the least, and it was hard to enjoy being there and conversing with friends. I kept apologizing for the loud music to everyone. If it weren't for the music being too loud, we would definitely return. The food and service was excellent. It is a shame that the music has to be at a rock star concert level, in such a small area."

"What a find. We were looking for a new restaurant to try in Bethesda and came across Lotus Grill and Bar. The service was great and the atmosphere was inviting. The food was described as contemporary Indian. It certainly was a different and fantastic remake of the classic Indian food we are so used to. We had the Sesame Cauliflower, the Chef's Signature Calamari, and the Steaming Vegetable Momo. Not too spicy but brimming with flavor. The drinks from the bar were also unique and flavorful. Overall, I highly recommend this great new dining experience in Bethesda"

"Booked this spot way in advance for brunch. Came here with some friends and went to town on a bunch of meats. We had the beef carpaccio, ground beef rolled in betel leaf, roasted berkshire pork meatball, seared scallops and the lemongrass steak eggs. This was plenty of food for 4 people. The carpaccio is a must order if you love strong citrus flavors. The beef was prepared perfectly and the extra fried onions added some great texture. The ground beef and berkshire pork meatballs tasted just like how I have them at family parties. The steak and eggs were perfect. The Maggi soy sauce, bone marrow butter and the added lemon grass made this dish delicious. Each bite was savory and the combination of French baguette with egg made this so good. Highly recommend making reservations way in advance. This place was pretty empty for brunch. My family and I really enjoyed our experience here. Our servers were very knowledgeable of the menu and flavors. I'll definitely be back to sample their beef 7 ways platter."

"the hostess was friendly and greeted us at the arrival. the restaurant itself was demanding and at the same time relaxing. we loved the way and wise how the menu was created. our waiter was knowledgeable and helped us to order exactly what we needed. the brot was great. we followed him with what without doubt the best meatballs I had ever had, swimming in a delicious tomato sauce. after that we shared an amazingly rich pasta and spinat dumplings that were for to die. we finished it with a delicate, juicy, hearty chicken parmesan. my only complaining was that the escaping area in the upper floor was significantly warmer than below. the drinks were also good."

"This was my second visit in as many weeks, after the first visit, we immediately booked for the following week and brought family to experience the amazing food with us. Our initial waitress told us that the toasted olive oil cake was “the best thing in the world” after experiencing it, we decided that she really didn’t emphasize this statement enough. "we came half an hour too late for our reservation after we caught foot in rain. despite our late arrival we were very welcome and the host even brought us hand towels and hing some of our clothes to dry. our server was also very warm and helped us navigate the menu, so we were able to try a lot of articles. the food was delicious! a little quiet and from the cheerfulness."

"We got the SAME guy as last time but this time he was so much better. He even did a fun party trick with his elbow that both horrified and enthralled the table. This time the experience was great but the food was a little underwhelming. Drinks were wonderful and came out wicked quick. Plating was excellent. Had we feasted with our eyes alone we would have left walking on clouds. The halumi appetizer was both cold, under seasoned, and was generally forgettable. I even slathered it in the relish topping and it made no difference. The thick cut bread wedges that came with it made no sense it's not a spreadable cheese. More like stacking dominos. The veggie burger had nothing holding the patty together it disintegrated before I could take a bite nd I had to eat it with a fork. The bun was good but without a bite it didn't make sense to eat it, so it got left behind. I paid $2 for pimento cheese and scraped off roughly no pimento cheese from the bun. The pickles were good. The Alabama sauce was runny. The ketchup tasted like fresh tomato soup. Half the fries were cooked right, the rest were mostly overcooked. The beet and kale salad was fine but nothing about it was very memorable and I sampled from the non vegan salad plate on the table. The mushroom entree was confusing. Nobody bothered to look at the dessert menu. Nothing was BAD, it all just missed the mark. I'm very thankful they were able to accommodate our large party (I made reservations in advance) but the food just didn't deliver. Normally we'd be passing bites around the table and there was none of that after the appetizer round. It gets VERY loud inside during peak hours when the space is full. Shouting is mandatory. The food ranged from good to great, but our server was such a sourpuss that it spoiled the night. Looking forward to going again and getting someone different."
