"I wanted to unwind and have a meal so when I passed this diner I thought I 'd try it. Well the waiter was so curt, rude, and in such a rush. What you want?? Then scoops the menus off the table and runs away. Didn 't even ask me what I wanted to drink. Like I was bothering him by just being there. I realized this would not be a relaxing experience, so I told the cashier to forget about my order and walked out. After reading the reviews, I 'm glad I didn 't get to taste the food! Also a big language barrier. I asked for a booth for 2, and they kept saying table for 4? Took a while to communicate that successfully."

"Came here about an hour before closing. Tried the natas (of course! and the Bola de Berlin (house donut with custard . Both were so good. Pastel de nata The puff pastry base was so pleasantly flaky, tender, delicate, not overbaked. The custard filling was also delicate, not too sweet and complemented the puff pastry so well. Bola de Berlin The bola (donut was so pillowy and almost melt in your mouth. The sugar coat gave a nice crunch and texture; it was a nice contrast to the soft donut and creamy custard filling. The custard filling is a little bit on the sweeter side (compared to the natas but it was so good that even for me who prefers less sweet things, I thoroughly enjoyed it. What was more impressive was that they tasted so good even though I came at the end of the day. They are not cheap... but I will definitely be coming back to try more of their bakery items because of the great impression I had with what I've tried at my first visit. In my opinion, far superior to the natas at Paderia Bakehouse. Please come here if you want a great Portuguese egg tart."

"The lunch menu turns every two weeks with different theme from Italian, French, Asian to America. "This venue is not as good as it used to be in years past. They no longer give you a cup of soup and a small salad as part of your lunch. You have to order everything separately. They used to make a variety of great breads, but now, it's the same kind everyday. Also, the food just isn't as good as it used to be, and the cost is higher. I wouldn't mind paying more for really good food, but the fare there lately has been somewhat mediocre."

"First time to San Juan Islands. Westcott Bay Shellfish Co was highly recommended so glad to make reservations. Absolutely incredible the food, atmosphere oysters were great. It is a little pricey but very much worth it. We live in North Carolina and love oysters the grilled Chipotle Bourbon were outstanding!"

"the black mountain wine house is located in a mostly residential area of brooklyn and is located on the hoyt road and the union, away from everything else. I had passed it often and always asked me how it was. Finally, a day before I met some friends to dinner near, I decided to stop and check it before dinner. it is a nice place. rustic feels safe. the food, beer, wee and not hard cocktails. their selection of everything is quite extensive. prices are not terrible, but not the biggest. it didn't seem to be happy hour and came when they opened. my argument would be the service. place was not packed at all and two people worked. I've been patient for the personal, I really did, but that was over-exaggerated. I would have liked to get another round, but finally I got the ****. hopefully it was a one-time ding. when I go back to Hoyt Street, I will be sure to stop and go again."
