"Wow, just wow. What a beautiful café and fantastic staff. My husband and I decided to go to Woodinville for Easter dinner, so we booked a week or so before. We lived in Redmond and drove at this place all the time when we went to Woodinville, but never thought to stop in him 's a shame we didn't. At first, every person employed here is a jewel! That sounds corrosive, but everyone we talked about was sincerely friendly, but also professional. There is an air of happiness over this place and it shows in the faces of the moats eating there. The name of our server escapes me, but he was fantastic. Not obtrusive, and there with a fast fill your glass and politely vice versa (although he was also funny) and leave. He recommended the Jambalaya I had. It was perfectly not excessively hot, but not mildly cooked, either just the right amount of kick. A complaint I have with Jambalaya in restaurants is that they can't get the rice here. It was so delicious. Husband had fish and chips. He enjoyed everything, especially the Koleslaw, but only wished that there were more raids and less pommes. Fish was fresh and while the bread was heavy, it became perfection beautiful, flaky, and very white, clean cod cooked. We decided to share a pretzel for a starter; I only had a few bites as I saw the other diners and the portions. The pulp was fresh from the oven and the associated mustard and spread were the perfect additions to the fresh (pretzel) bread. Our drinks were well prepared. Husband chose a beer and loved the recommendation; I opted for a sidecar that was made as it should be and again as jambalaya easy to screw, but not here. They rock the bar and the kitchen in The Commons. Finally we rarely get dessert, but decided to share home a mini-load of lemons poppy cake. It was moist and sweet. (On a side note we saw their famous cinnamon roll and, wow, you could share it with three friends). We are not brunch people, but are planning to come back specifically for this purpose as The Commons is a big weekend place (and also weekday)."
