"Service was fantastic, we believe Mark, who was very knowledgeable. The Calamari we got as an appetizer was perfectly done. I had the steakburger who was fantastic. The colleague I was done with was just fine. My friend has the chicken stable that was excellent. The Mac and the cheese that came with him were great. The Pommes were fine. We got their “Powerful Stuff” for Dessert, who was a huge ice tower, and it was a good way to finish a meal. Overall great experience, would definitely return"

"we have chosen this place to take my 81-year-old grandmother also for birthday. she always wanted to go and we could finally let it happen. the restaurant ambiente was before place in comparison to my other beautiful restaurants. dimmed lighting, soft glowing, worker in black (except cook in white), white table linen, etc. please remember that the FINE food should be. I saw some posts from people about the prices, honestly it is not so much more than eating in popular steakhouses. fine eating should not be frugal and many fine dining is price ala carte. if they are not sure about the prices, they always ask. I know my fish sandwich came with a side I had lunch. the personal was amazing. they even helped my annoying grandparents come to their places. we didn't want everything that was personal to be right. when they go, I recommend the carrot cake! and I am not even a carrot cake person and her was incredible."

"I enjoyed a cold dinner with great service here at J. Alexander's on a week night. This steakhouse is spacious and we could take place without waiting. The staff was welcoming and respectful (as expected for this kind of restaurant and our waiter was helpful when there were questions about the menu. Food: I ordered the grilled salmon (big that came with one side of orzo wild rice (I was not a fan because it was cold and the rice mixed in could have been softer. I enjoy my friends of crushed potatoes. Despite the several hints on the menu that meat cooked medium or higher is not offered or recommended I was sure pleased that my salmon dish was perfectly cooked medium-well and my friend Steak was also perfectly cooked medium-well: dessert: Delicious chocolate cake with a boil vanilla ice cream. All right! I was big enough for two. Drinks: I had a hot tea for the night. I appreciated the presentation/spread addition of honey on my request. Overall, I was really happy with the portions / value and service. I would recommend a visit and would probably return!"

"Great experience, food and service. One mention is we sat at the bar and everyone around us were frequent patrons of the restaurant. That's an excellent sign of consistency and a place I love to be. We shared the deviled eggs which were fantastic. They are made with a sweet relish but also red pepper chili flakes and a chunk of pepper bacon on top. This gives a mildly sweetand spicy taste that is very unique. I had a ribeye with mashed potatoes and my companion had the BBQ salmon. We both enjoyedour food. Ended the evening with a slice of key lime pie to round out the food coma. For drinks our bartender did a fabulous jobmaking us custom drinks. I wish I remembered his name because he was wonderful. Fun to talk to and loved making drinks. He gaveus a key lime martini that was lovely! Overall definitely recommended!"

"I have been waiting to try this restaurant for the longest. I recommend the steak egg rolls. The steak was seasoned. The fries were just fries..nothing special. The lighting is very dim in the restaurant. The salmon was ok..nothing special. I would goback and try something different. Plenty of parking. Easy to get too. If you are a larger person with a stomach the booth maynot be good for seating because the table is not adjustable."
