"The food wasn't great, but it was edible.We paid for the all-you-can-eat option that included the nigiri sushi. We first got the sushi and I was a bit worried. The fish wasn't fresh at all and looked dried out. The sushi rice was overseasoned with vinegar and much too sour. The rolls were cut unevenly and came apart easily when using chopsticks. The miso soup and seaweed salad tasted store-bought, like the pre-made stuff you'd get at a Restaurant Depot. The only thing my wife and I enjoyed was the salmon skin salad, where the salmon skin was at least crispy.In terms of ambiance, it was darkly lit inside but you could tell the interior was run down and the owner didn't put much time in upkeep and appearance. The only bright spot was that the server was very attentive and pleasant."

"Got greeted rudely by, whom I believe was the manager and the server not being available for long periods of time (30min in one occasion). Left a small tip because of mediocre service. Got a call from same manager to ask why my tip was low and after I told her it wasn’t just the server but also her attitude towards us she acted shocked and hung up on me. Extremely unprofessional! Needless to say that’s the last time I will be going."

"My wife and I went to Yanagi randomly for a quick sushi fix. We went around 5pm on a Saturday and we’re quickly seated. The service was not very good. We were hurried along to a random table and 2 menus were slightly thrown onto the table.We ordered waters and salad with ginger dressing salad was good and dressing was tasty.We saw they had Katsu on the menu so we ordered the chicken katsu don with a roll and some sushi. The chicken katsu was bland and the breading was soggy and not crispy at all.The sushi was ok it wasn’t bad but there are definitely some opportunities to elevate. We didn’t mind the dragon roll although some of the avocado had some browning to it. The prices are reasonable here but the quality you can tell isn’t the highest combined with somewhat unfriendly waitresses."

"We dined here last night hoping for hibachi. It was busy so no surprise there was a long wait so we chose a booth instead. Drinks and appetizers came out rather quickly but the entrees took a very long time. So long the waiter came back 2x to tellusit would be there shortly. No worries- we like fresh hot food. Once our food finally did arrive it was delicious but COLD. Myhusband also ordered a seafood platter that was short on the #of scallops he was supposed to have. I could see quite a bit ofconfusion in the back and it looked like they had lots of to-go orders so I didn't complain. We love this restaurant and oftenorder but specifically came so it would be hot&fresh (with the hope of a hibachi show). Food is always delicious, but apparentlylesson learned: stick to the hibachi side if you want your food hot."

"We went here for our sons birthday and noted that on our reservation and upon check in. While the restaurant was quite busy (they had a table of 20 to attend to) wait staff was very limited. Our server, Alvin, was very friendly. But it seemed he was the only one able to help with refills, getting checks, etc which made for a very long wait. The food was OK at best. We had sushi, Chinese, Hibachi and the Korean BBQ and none of it knocked our socks off. A couple of mentionables: the Korean BBQ was interesting in that you cook yourself at the table; different and fun. Second: the restrooms have a very foul odor (not from use but something else) which either management and/or patrons try to masque with Febreeze and does not work. I don’t think we will be returning and cannot recommend to others. Sorry."

"Their curries are the best around and their cuts from Tofu are delicious. The sweet potato tempura rolls are also the most tasteful I had. Everything on their menu is delicious and very good value. I recently moved and this is the place I miss most! Every time I'm in the area, I have to stop for their Tofu Panang Curry with a sweet potato tempura roll! Go!"
