"the service was terrible yesterday. the restaurant was full and there were several food deliveries or orders. it seemed as if the waiting staff and the kitchen could not treat all orders. we had a reservation for 18 o'clock and the hostess didn't seem to care how she seems to do it as if she liked us doing one by joining two 2-tops. we ordered to sit within 5 minutes and with our order, asked for 4 glasses water in addition to other drinks. our other drinks came out, but no water. we had to ask another two times before we received. we immediately got our appetizers and then it took an hour to receive our dinner entrees. not even the server came by to give us an update or to apologize for it for so long. they could only cook for a table or a job at a time. when we finally got our food with 2 orders of rice, the rice was boiled and crispy. how do you bleed? if they are in the mood for Indian food, I recommend finding another facility in the pasadena area where they value customer service and high quality food."

"An excellent mix of both Himalayan and Indian cuisine, with an interior decor that reflects well on both cultures with images of mountains and decorated with Tibetan prayer scarves of blue, white, red, yellow and green. There was even a special dining spot available on a raised platform with a low table and cushions for those wanting a more authentic dining experience. Enjoyed a fare of paneer tikka masala over rice, my companion appreciating the tofu saag, with some simple soup that would keep you warm on a cold night in the Himalayas. Soft, but crispy garlic naan bread made good for mopping up the sauces, and a wonderful dining experience. Our waiter R provided excellent service with good attention and made sure our visitation was very satisfying. There are even some gifts and curios available for purchase, to make the cultural atmosphere something to take home and enjoy, as well. Thank you for a most pleasant and fulfilling experience. "The big vegan menu was the main reason why I wanted to try this place. When we arrived, I asked about the vegan menu because it wasn't with the regular menu. Once we ordered it was declared that they don’t have to go because “something with the inspector.” I'm not sure what that means. Then several other items on the menu were not available for vegan and non-vegans alike. The service was slow, which was hard to fathom as it was just another table. What we ordered tasted good... but it wasn't what we originally had."

"Pakwaan is unrealistic. We love the food in this place. We were once their atmosphere and the customer service was excellent. Usually order online delivery and they still have to make an error on our order. I can't say the same for other restaurants we used over Door Dash etc. They fit the spice levels so if you like curry, but unlike spicy they will be mild for you!! Great place, glad I found it (they were recommended to me by Indian Americans I know). Well done!"

"I had been wanting to try Curry Sultan for a while and finally did! Brave the construction and go eat some great Indian food! You won’t regret it! The food was delicately spiced and just perfectly done! Better than I could have imagined. I can’t wait to try more dishes!! I had the Chicken Vindaloo! I chose medium heat! I may try hot next time! The heat came at the end, and the flavors were subtle and married so well! I also love that most of the dishes are gluten free, meaning I can eat almost everything they serve! I highly recommend Curry Sultan!"

"I’ve been to this location many times, too many to count. Always friendly and speedy service. Absolutely love the staff, very personable, always make it a point to make you feel welcome. My favorites is the Monsoon Wedding, which allows you to pick two entrees, has rice, daal, Roti bread, chutney, and daily veggies. And now serving a vegan dessert, which is new!! It’s a lot of food, but I always take leftovers. Vegan entrees to try, Aloo Cali, Tofu Saag, forget what the eggplant one is called, but it’s delish. You can customize your order with a varying degree of spice, 1-5. Tips for ordering Roti bread, as for it to have garlic and herbs added, as they make it to order, it’s a great sub for the non-vegan Naan. Please try this local gem, you’ll be glad you did."

"I liked all the food I tried here, the Mulligitawny soup was my favorite, but the lamb Naan and lamb with onions and ginger were both tasty, the masala chai was a bit too sweet for me but otherwise on point. "After many years of desire came here. First, the place is beautiful. Second, the staff was so nice. After all, the food was delicious. We didn't order the buffet because we generally don't like buffets. So the bad reviews of the buffet not phase me. He ordered the currylamm and I ordered the curry shrimps. We asked for medium Spicy, and that's exactly what we did. It was delicious and we're going back. Oh yes and one more thing, you CAN Park in the crowd next to what we asked."
