"AVOID I had lunch at Basera Bistro. Things started off fine. I opted for the a la carte menu and enjoyed the samosas. The next two courses, dal and tandoori, were not good. The dal was soupy and not tasty. The tandoori was tough; overcooked, requiring chewing and chewing and chewing. What was that about? Was it the prior night's food reheated? During my lunch, the restaurant seated a family (a dad and 3 kids). Only the dad was ordering from Basera. He had purchased takeout pizzas from another restaurant in the neighborhood and brought the pizzas in for them to eat. The kids played videos on their phones, without ear buds, on LOUD, throughout their meals. This was disruptive and ruined anything I might have enjoyed about my dining experience. The next day, I stopped in between 3-4 in the afternoon to pick up in the afternoon to pick up my credit card, which the server had failed to return to me. It was a shocking sight: all of the banquettes were filled with sleeping workers. So, when you dine at Basera Bistro, and sit on one of those banquettes, picture staff members sleeping where you are sitting; truly an appetizing picture. As a footnote: the restaurant called Amex and told them my card was lost, causing it to be canceled, rather than using my contact info, available through Opentable. Thanks a lot, Basera Bistro. This is a major hassle. I stay in midtown frequently. I will never return to this restaurant. I would suggest, if you are considering this restaurant, you think again."

"?????I had the absolute pleasure of experiencing Alina’s Lebanese Cuisine through a DoorDash order and I am already planning my next visit to dine in person! From the moment I spoke with a wonderfully helpful gentleman on the phone, I knew I was in expert hands. The advice I received on what to order was spot-on, enhancing the entire dining experience from afar. The Family Feast was, without exaggeration, the best meal of my life! It was a masterful display of culinary artistry. If there were a Michelangelo of Middle Eastern food, it would surely be the chefs at Alina’s. The feast included perfectly seasoned Tabbouleh Salad, crispy Falafel, refreshing Cucumber with Yogurt, smoky Baba Ganoush, savory Sambousik, and creamy Hummus, all served on a generous bed of fragrant rice. The six kebabs—two chicken, two beef, and two kafta—were grilled to perfection, each bite bursting with flavor.I couldn't resist adding extra pita bread to scoop up every last bit of their heavenly garlic sauce, and the Baklava? Oh, the Baklava! It was a sweet, flaky, nutty finale to a feast fit for royalty. Every dish was a testament to the skill and passion that Alina’s pours into their kitchen.Alina’s Lebanese Cuisine is a true gem, a beacon of exquisite taste and culinary excellence. They are AMAZING, and I loved every single bite! Stepping into Alina's is stepping into a world of culinary delight that I can’t wait to experience again.
