"I was here a few times. Great place for French onion soup and escargot but the rest leaves you want, imo. Appetizers are usually five stars. Especially the French onion soup, Escargot and Tartare. If I came back, we'd probably just make some apps. Entries. Ribeye and frites were boiled in trial, with a real crust, peppercorn sauce and pumice were great. A great dinner. But at $52, you are pressed very hard to find out how this mathematics works, based on meal itself. (Welcome to Pasadena, I guess). Braised lamb shoulder is hard to articulate, but if you think rich, ultra delicate lamb covered in the perfect reduction this was not quite. Still decent, but less damp and more clobular, if that makes sense, served over a bed of pure potatoes. Sea bass and lentils are served with an overwhelming amount of lentils and the fish is only for driving in a difficult pairing. Duck confit is up, but more in the sense there is nothing overly wrong with it. If you have a desire for French cuisine, this place will most likely scratch the itch."
