"We enjoyed this very homey place where everything is new and clean. Designed with down-to-earth style and tablecloths made from natural fabric. The chef makes everything from scratch, such as home made bread, herbal butter as well as different salads including vegan gluten free dishes. Its very convenient for working families to have a home made meal right after work and it's affordable too. The staff is very friendly and not overbearing; service is great! Loved it!"

"This restaurant offers excellent food, great value, and a fantastic dining experience. I have dined here over 10 times in the past year and have never been disappointed. The frequent diner card program is a bonus, as they will even combine cards for you if you have multiple ones. For an average of only $8.95 per dinner, you receive a bread basket (with refills available), a choice between soup or salad, your main course, and a dessert of your choice. It's a great deal for a delicious meal."

"I’ve been dining at this restaurant for years without any issues, but recently I ordered a breakfast sandwich and within an hour, I started feeling nauseous. This continued for the rest of the day, and I ended up with a fever for two days. I tried to speak with a manager to inform them about my experience, but unfortunately, he wasn't available. Now, looking back at the reviews, I see similar complaints about undercooked fish. The owner really needs to pay closer attention to what’s happening in the kitchen."

"I am an original boatbuilder of the replica half moon ship built in Albany and featured as a cover photo on this restaurant?s menu so I was excited to eat at this establishment. The atmosphere is vintage dinner appeal with lots of chrome highlights. Thedining area is spacious and able to accommodate moderate size groups of diners. The staff provides quick and efficient service.I selected a broiled fisherman?s plater that looked like a fair amount of food. The food however was tasteless and was obviouslyfrozen not fresh. The sole was cold on the bottom and not palatable. The scallops were absolutely tasteless and rubbery. Theclams were flavored only by the spices on it. What a shame to put this plate of food on the table. I spoke with patrons whomordered the same dish and reported a similar disappointment. This meal is neither something a person should eat nor should therestaurant try to pass it off as something to sell. Very disappointing experience for lunch."

"we are so sad that dockside closed this month (november 2017)! it is a favorite stop when we are somewhere near the Como area, and has been in each of its incarnations before the dockside ambiente. every time in the recent history that someone has taken over this space, it has incremental improvement. the service was a real weakening at this visit (slow, distracted,) but understandable, I guess when they get into a few weeks from a job. I hope someone picks up this place quickly and finds a way to keep the kitchen interesting, some menu points family-friendly and the como dock lively. what a loss if no one can pick up where these people are gone. please, please, not only seasonal pizza and burger!"

"Taking advantage of Restaurant Week, we decided to try Lela for dinner on a Friday night. The dining room is wide open with hard-surfaced tile walls and a view of the kitchen so it was very lively with all tables nearly full, but not super busy. The booth seat my wife sat on was very hard and uncomfortable while my chair was comfortable so we exchanged seats and she was right, it hurt my bottom after a while. The Restaurant Week dinner menu was 3 courses so we opted to order from that. Adelle, our server, was prompt and knowledgeable offering menu suggestions that I always appreciate. He started off by saying that the dishes were mostly Italian inspired I would disagree. Being Italian, a meatball appetizer and a gnocchi dish do not define Lela as an Italian Restaurant as seen in the offerings we chose. For the appetizer course, we ordered Lela’s Simple Salad with cherry tomatoes and lemon vinaigrette, and the Peruvian Ceviche of Hamachi with coconut milk, lime juice, habanero chili, garlic, ginger, and cilantro. The salad was just okay, and the Hamachi was quite watery indicating it was not freshly prepared and all I could taste was lime juice. The other flavors were washed out so it was not a pleasant dish. My wife had the Steak Frites, a perfect medium-rare hanger steak with freshly made fries. The fries were not as crispy as they should be but tasted fresh. I had the Pan Roasted Skuna Bay Salmon with “melted leeks, mushrooms, and beure blanc lemon butter sauce that I pared with a glass of Böen Pinot Noir that was superb! The salmon was nicely roasted and moist that pared perfectly with the leeks and sauce – for sure the best dish of the night! The Chocolate Mousse was actually a small dry chocolate cake with something resembling chocolate shavings, but was actually a sugary wafer broken up over the top. Lela was a hit and miss for us on many counts and not a restaurant I will likely go back to, especially with the loud noise levels. There are better options!"

Not comfortable when they are pushy upselling to add meats, meats, meats, meats, staff is obsessed with upsell meats on one's meal, to my vegetarian dishes. I make clear I don't want meat on any veggie meal or side dish. So, vegetarians, heads up, and be firm.Cole slaw was good!!!! Potato salad was good. Onion rings, not well fried. Overall, it was alright.Vegetarian options: Baked potatoes, fries, side dishes. Head ups, they will push you to upsell adding meats. Be firm!"

"Normally the reviews I write are jokes, but for once I think I 'll be a little more serious. When I first stumbled across Chicken Galore while staying in Woodbridge, I honestly didn 't know what to expect. Regardless, I placed my order online and hoped for the best. I order 12 buffalo wings for about $15, which is actually pretty reasonable compared to something like Buffalo Wild Wings where you only get 10 for the same price. I 'll admit, I was a little nervous when going to this location. I 'm not familiar with the area and I had zero clue what I was getting into. My worries where immediately taken care of though when I walked in and one of the staff said, I see that look in your eyes . I immediately felt welcomed and the staff instantly got to work getting my order finalized. I was impressed with how kind they were and how quickly I was able to get my food. I went home was very impressed with the quality of the wings. The sauce was the perfect amount of hot and tasted amazing. Overall, I 'm very impressed with this little chicken spot and will definitely consider coming back at some point when I return to the area."

"The food at this restaurant is out of this world when they get your order right. Unfortunately, they completely messed up my steak (ordered rare and received medium rare), and when I politely asked for it to be fixed, I was met with attitude. Two specific individuals (my server and what seemed to be the front manager) were the reason I gave this restaurant a 2-star rating, rather than just 1 star. My server made it clear that my request had been disregarded, and the manager coldly checked in on me without follow-up. I didn't receive any extra drinks or the service I would have liked. Despite this, I highly recommend trying the pear martini. This whole experience was unacceptable and left a bad taste in my mouth. If you can overlook unpleasant service for potentially amazing food, this might be the place for you. It's a shame that the potential of this restaurant was overshadowed by these two individuals. Everyone else at the restaurant seemed lovely, and I wish I had a different server. I won't be returning to this restaurant and will warn others to avoid it due to the unfriendly treatment I received. The only positive thing I can say is that the food, when prepared correctly, was absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, the poor service overshadowed this."

We asked to be moved into the dining room and were accommodated but our table was not in the best location for conversation. "The Filet was so tender I could cut it with a butter knife. The roasted Brussels Sprouts were flavorful, tender and perfectly cooked. Both of my guests ordered the “Fall Special” a 4 oz filet and a rock lobster tail and the lobster was cooked beautifully and tender. This is THE best steak restaurant in San Antonio and well worth the price."

"Ordered on door dash. The food wasn’t the greatest our garlic knots came uncooked, the pizza wasn’t at all what we ordered. The only decent thing was the zucchini fries. Very disappointed and it food took 1 hour and 30 minutes. I’m okay with waiting if it’s exactly what we order but this was not at all."
