"We found Hays City last year before the pandemic camp and stay at Wimberley on weekends. Since then we have been 26 times more and drive over an hour to feed here. We are usually using the chips and queso as appetizer and then Cheeseburger for the main course both are AMAZING and the Cheeseburgers are possibly the best you ever find. The atmosphere and the food are always on site and we only had a visit, lately, where the service of our waitress was less than expected. This is by far our favorite place to dine!"

"great first experience. my friend and I went to dinner last night in the rusty bucket on polaris. we called and sat as soon as we were there. it was our first time we ever went there and we had a great experience. "Excellent soups and sandwiches make this a popular higher-end lunch spot. Walk up to one or more of a series of counters containing sandwiches, soups, salads made to request, etc. This isn't your least expensive lunch but most everyone agrees it's worth it. Fresh breads come with the salads and soups. Try the chana salad and cauliflower salad. Seafood chowder got good marks. The food packs well and is a favorite for catering lunch boxes for our office. "My favorite diver. My father once lived in town and we visited here since 2002. Breakfast is a real, good diner breakfast. In 20 years nothing has changed. Just got better. Unfortunately, the music boxes do not work: ..but they keep the true ascetic alive and I love him. The staff is very attentive and friendly. It'll be back."

"our experience in scratch was excellent. it has been a long time since I was there, and I liked the changes in the menu. the quality of the fish in the fish and chips was great and the salads we had (baby greens and butternut squash) were very delicious. our only complaint was our talk about the vodka in the menu. We were subjected to a differentiation that was inappropriate for a sensational experience."

"The Filet was so tender I could cut it with a butter knife. The roasted Brussels Sprouts were flavorful, tender and perfectly cooked. Both of my guests ordered the “Fall Special” a 4 oz filet and a rock lobster tail and the lobster was cooked beautifully and tender. This is THE best steak restaurant in San Antonio and well worth the price."

"Always great food. Greek chicken salad, all breakfasts, chilli, coneys, gyro, club sandwich are all ingenious. I was there with my daughter today. She asked about the kitchen and I asked our waitress if she could go back to see the great skill they cook. They went back and the owner went around her to show her all parts of the kitchen. Very nice people. The manager/owner even came out after we went to our car and gave my daughter a strawberry milkshake on the house! Totally unexpected and very nice of them. We'll be back. It is pleasing to see friendly people especially in the restaurant industry, after all the garbage they have been through short waiters and increasing food costs."

"That was WAY overpriced!!! The food wasn't good. Flavourless eggs Benedict, shrimp, scrambled eggs and potatoes, fat bacon. Just Yuk! I think you tried to offer too many things and nothing tasted good. Also had to wait in a long line. The waiter should have explained where food was and how to have access. Many objects had no signs - perhaps misplaced. $17 for Mimosas is exaggerated. Have you ordered from the regular menu on some occasions and food is fine, but you are completely overwhelmed to draw a quality Easter Brunch."

"We were a group of eight, who visited on Friday. It is a cozy English Pub-style restaurant. I went outside of my comfort zone and ordered the French Toast: two thick slices of bread edged with Nutella and topped with Pastry Cream. What a splurge! No regrets. Hubby had a Carlsberg and the Roast Beef sandwich, with a healthy order of fries. Thank you to our server Ashley! The only negative is that the rest rooms need a lot of work. We did have a great meal."
