"This restaurant offers delicious Indian cuisine with generous portion sizes suitable for two people. The chicken tikka was fantastic, while the Goat Biryani did not quite complement the tikka, but was still good. The spacious and hygienic restroom deserves an extra mention. The restaurant has decent parking. However, the staff may not be very friendly, so don't expect a warm welcome."

"Very disappointed with this experience. After reading all these reviews I thought I was in for a treat. Sadly, nope. Ordered the chicken tikka masala and dal makhani. The heat was there but flavor was extremely lacking. The chicken tikka masala tastes just like spicy chicken in a tomato sauce. Seems they forgot to add the cream to make it a real tikka masala. The dal makhani looked just like gravel in a pool of brown water. Utterly missing all the beans and lentils and creaminess/thickness that a true dal makhani is supposed to have. I must also mention the service. Ordered online and it said 20min. Showed up in 20 minutes and had to wait another 20 for the food to be brought out. So 40min total wait for a disappointing dish. Additionally the prices are not cheap. This was sadly like a poor fast food Indian experience. Only it was anything but fast and sadly not very good at all. I will have to return to my local favorite since they have out performed all time and time again."

"I compare all Indian/Bangladeshi food places to my mum's (Bangladeshi) food so I can be overly critical. The food here was good, they're generous with the ingredients (shrimp and lamb were plentiful in the dishes I ordered). Really good service, attentive."

"I was looking for qualitatiw high quality Indian takeout and on the look for reviews I gave square pizza subs a try. Normally I would be skeptical (that the place is a pizza and subfuge), but the inder was quite legit and tasty. no place to eat during these pandemic times I saw during a take-out pickup. about 2 different orders we have tried vegetarian and carnivores (very good, homemade and tastefully tasteful). almost at the level of my regional fav, indien pavilion in cambridge), garlauch naan (excellent.) the only miss was a lentil and garlic soup that only contained broth! (actually no lenses or other ingredients), tasted the broth well with the delivered rice that came with our entreen. I'll give you a pass on the suppe this time, as it was quite good to eat. explore the diverse menu."

"I made this reservation to celebrate my daughter’s birthday, we are British and wanted to reminisce the flavors of India. We have eaten Indian meals more times than I can remember and the portion control was so much more worth the price. You charge $24 for a bowl full of sauce with 5 small pieces of lamb served with a bowl of rice only. I have not had lamb for over 10 years and this was a disappointment. Our party was charged a 20% gratuity this was automatic even though we were paying separately, some people were parties of 2 or 3 but still the gratuity was applied. This visit was a big letdown and I will not revisit or recommend this restaurant."

"The times I have been here, the place is hardly packed. Whether that is a sign take it how you will. An employee came from the kitchen to take our order but was hard to understand and came off rude before we said anything. He was not enunciating clearly and sounded like he was slurring words. Plus the way he was talking to us sounded rude and demanding. Letting that slide, we told our order and the guy paused a few times and seemed frustrated trying to enter it into the machine like he was struggling. Our receipt was given to us, which is weird because there was a sign about it being a 4% discount if paying by cash. If there is a sign about there being a discount if paying with cash, you’d think the staff would ask if you’re paying by cash or not before they print the receipt. I even asked about the discount sign and again, the employee was hard to understand because he was mumbling and slurring words. It did sound like the machine adds tax automatically so there is nothing we can do. Seems confusing because I’m not sure how that relates to the discount sign. I let that go again because I really want to like this place. But what drew the final straw was what happens next. The receipt gets printed, the confusion on the discount sign, and then we pay it. I’m not sure how this happens when the machine tells you the change to give customers but the wrong change was given. We were owed more than what we were given. We confusingly mentioned about the wrong change and showed how much he gave us. He fumbled about with the machine and even asked how much they owe us. We showed the change we were given and the receipt. He continued to fumble about and said something was hard to understand again. It sounded like the machine won’t open up again? Maybe unless it’s to take an order? It took us maybe 5 minutes to sort it out and when we did, he went into the kitchen and raised his voice. While I’m not fluent in the language, I did understand he was talking about a customer and he looked at us while saying it, so it’s my guess he was talking about us. He was loud to the point the kitchen staff and staff outside heard and laughed. The whole experience was the last time I will come here and order. I don’t want to eat from a place where I feel unwelcome."

"eating was good, which was part of the service was somewhat less than ideal. there was a lot of open tables, as we were there early (5pm) and were not given a child menu until after we served our full order (we ordered a small child so straight from the main menus) eating, but teller were not, so we ended eating out of appetizer boards. and the 3rd Place setting for children when we set ourselves, so we had to take one of a nearby table as soon as the food arrived."

"Don't let the unprepossessing look of the building fool you this place is the real deal! We were in the area and pulled up our trustworthy Happy Cow app which found Sri Dosa Place nearby and already had glowing reviews. It was bustling at 5:30PM with what looked like local regulars. I think we were the only non Indians in the place but the wait staff were super friendly and found a table for us. A lady at the next table helped us understand what Dosa was (crêpes) and suggested what she felt were good noob items. We ordered Kanchipuram Idly rice cakes for appetizer and both had Paper Mysore Masala Dosa for entrees. The waitress told us it was very long and it was! We thoroughly enjoyed our meal experience and will be back. It's not a place to have a long leisurely meal, more of a fast food place but that was fine for us. We left soon after eating because folks were waiting for tables. When we paid the bill by credit card, there was no tipping which was interesting. There's a huge free municipal parking lot right across the street. Anyway, we definitely recommend!"

"Unfortunately, this was such a bad eating. admitted, it's hard to find amazing Indian food in boston, but that was really bad. we ordered the vegetarian thiali for 2, and they forgot to involve naan and the samosas, and instead of ingwereeeis they contained a strange artificially tasting egg. the mango leti was so sweet I couldn't really drink it. for $45 the meal was terrible. I hate to leave bad critikens because I want to support local businesses, but we have sincerely shocked ourselves by this experience and want no one else to waste their money and as disappointed as we were."
