"I was pleased to find a new Indian restaurant near home so I had to check it out. I perused the menu online and found they had a generous offering of dishes and I made my reservation and headed over. However I readily discarded the menu when they explained the evening's specials. The appetizer of thinly sliced and fried Chinese eggplant with tamarind sauce was a treat. It should have been a hint how how I was to be blown away by the entree. The Frenched(! lamb chops served with a cashew sauce was amazingly divine. The sauce was beautifully balanced with cardamon and the chops had that perfect spot of pink. I unabashedly licked my fingers repeatedly after each half of each double chop had been gnawed clean. Luckily I had garlic naan to help wipe up the remnants from the sauce that lingered on my dinner plate. I couldn't finish the generous portion and I demanded that they get every last drop of the sauce into my take-out carton. The service was attentive without being overbearing, too. Please checkout this place and let them be successful!"

"Eating usually good, self-service, hygiene not good. Sambhar is unlimited, but it is only watery yellow soup, no Dal or Sabzi in Sambhar. You do not give a receipt so you do not know how much your card was calculated. Eating is okay, not bad. It would be better if cleanliness and Sambhar quality can be improved and they begin to receive the reception to those who pay with the card."

"When I say excellent, I mean excellent!! My wife and I shared the Tandoori chicken and Chicken noodles with shrimp. Each plate was made Indian Hot. We eat a lot of spicy dishes. The spices came through my palate from each dish. The serving size was plenty. My son had the chicken wings and Masala fries. He enjoyed them. We will definitely be back. We were able to speak to the owner and compliment the chef and servers. Thank you for a wonderful early dinner."

"A well planned stop on the way return to the Bay Area from North Tahoe. Very conveniently located next to Costco, for a gas refill and then plan blissful Indian food after 2 3 days! All food has five options non spicy, mild, medium, spicy and extra spicy? we ordered all mild which was just perfect for our taste buds! They have a huge variety of Biriyani?s which even included the not so common Thalapakatti one with Seeraga Samba rice? The Uvalacheru Goat Biriyani was the best of the lot? they have a few varieties of Dosa as well and noodles which was a fav with the kids in the party! The owner was super accommodative which made our lunch even better!"

They give priorities to DoorDash and take-out orders. Food is served late and cold to on-premise customers. When we gave feedback to the staff they started arguing with us instead. "Horrible Horrible worst service. We just went there last Sunday for Mother’s day lunch and it was a horrible service. In spite of making a reservation a week in advance we had to wait for almost 2 hours to get the table. And no one seem to be bothered, almost had to clean our own table and join the tables ourselves. Water was not served on time, food was served cold. Really irresponsible owner and staff. Very very bad please do not ever go to this place."

"The Rava Dosa was too salty for my taste. However, I enjoyed the Poori and found the Aloo curry to be delicious. This time, we ordered the small idlis, and the sambar was quite tasty. I would prefer to have the sambar served on the side next time, as the idlis became a bit soggy."

"My friend and I were on the lookout for a new restaurant and stumbled upon this hidden gem! Chicago Curry House is a spot that everyone should visit and try some food. Everyone is welcome here! You absolutely must try the chicken pakora—it was delicious. We also ordered the lamb curry, chicken makhani (butter chicken), goat biryani, and garlic naan. Yes, we ordered quite a bit, but it was totally worth it! The wonderful gentleman who owns the place even let me sample a mango lassi, which was also fantastic. I will definitely be returning! "Absolutely not ? went to the lunch buffet. No one even asked for a drink order or brought the check. We were completely on our own. Cheap standard fare, but it is only 14.99 so ok. The gulab balls are, and I'm not exaggerating, a level of sweet I didn't think existed. For the price, I think you get a good deal food wise, but the quality isn't great and service is hilarious."
