"Based on over 1K reviews on GrubHub with an average of 4.5 stars we thought we’d give Sakura a try. The nigiri and sushi rolls were less than great but overall serviceable. What tipped the experience from unremarkable to disappointing was the salad, soup, and Rangoon. See accompanying photos…Apparently you only need to include some dressing with lettuce to call it a salad here. Our wontons (not enough filling to adequately consider it a Crab Rangoon) didn’t come with any sauce. And our Miso soup was broth with a single small flake of seaweed.Like I said previously, everything tasted OK, we were just disappointed in the presentation and attention to detail based on reviews. Hopefully this review saves at least one person from having their expectations broken by a lackluster meal."

"Yes. I loved my first experience here absolutely. the sushi was super and fresh (trust I had bad quality, the delicious fishy.) the Bento box during lunch is the biggest bang for her buck if they want something with a small taste of everything. if they like spicy, I recommend the spicy teriyaki chicken-bogenbox!"

"This was a destination restaurant for me and my coworkers, as we enjoy the night playing tourists in Seattle. We took the ferry over to Winslow, and it was a quick cab ride up the hill to Subi. We had a reservation, and since we were early we had to wait a few minutes for our table. Soon we were sitting near the front of the crowded dining room, it was definitely a busy Friday night. Our friendly waitress took the drink orders, and quickly returned with our selections. A group ordered everything from Sashimi to rolls to Ramen, with a couple of salads and of course miso soup as well. All was very good! Test the freshness you would expect at a good sushi place. The prices were a bit high, but then again Winslow is a little more upscale of a place and it is on an island. Enjoyed my hot sake, assorted tuna nigiri, Hamachi, and roll. If you go, get there early enough to give yourself time to explore the cute little town before you head back to the ferry."

"Be prepared because this might be a long review. Okay, me and my family of 7 adults and 4 children came in to celebrate my sister 's birthday. We asked them if they do all you can eat and they said yes. Okay, cool. We all sit down and we agree to the AYCE and begin ordering. We order about 5 plates of sushi and 1 order of fried rice for the kids. Next thing you know our server brings 4 plates of dumplings and a couple of bowls of edamame. We tell her, we didnt order it and she said its on the house from chef. We were confused but said okay. She then comes with more plates of dumplings and we ask her to stop because we didn 't order it. We sat there waiting for our sushi and it took about 35 minutes to bring out our 1 plate. 15 minutes later, the next one came. Because of how slow the service was, we made a big order for the next one so we dont have to keep waiting. The next order came aftee 30 minutes again. We were trying not to complain because we saw they were short staffed. And then we ordered again. As my brother was walking out with my sister, the head of the restaurant told them that because of us, they have to shut down the restaurant because they can 't serve all of us. He even told next time you guys come, we will have to deny you guys because of how many you guys are! Wait what? DISCRIMINATION! My older brother and sister gave him a piece of our mind and he did not apologize. He just shrugged and acted like we were the problem. But hold up, I didnt add the other petty things this man did. When he came around the table, i tried to be courteous and gather the plates and stack it for him and he goes Can you please not stack that? Because its hard for me to take it? And then when my sister lifted her glass for him to take to refill, he told her please put it on the table and then ill take it This asian man, looks like the head or manager of the restaurant was giving off this weird racist vibes since we got there. The fact he even blamed us that they have t9 close the restaurant because of our orders just shows how incompetent they are to run a business. Oh btw, we were the only family there for a good 2 hours so I dont know why it took so long for them to make our sushi. Please don 't go to this restaurant especially if you are of color. Just horrible!!!"

"that was our first experience in this restaurant. we enjoy teriyaki dinners in Japanese restaurants, but the bark and salmon were warm, far from the shlittel on a dish and with warm jarred soy sauce drowned. never order teriyaki dinner or combed deep fried calamari in this restaurant. we complained to the manager that no one came to our table to ask how everything was. I wanted to send the food back, but my husband was so hungry that he ate our dinner and didn't want to wait. we were told by the manager that sushi is her specificity and the items we ordered were clearly not. they gave a balance to our dissatisfaction. I recommended taking this item from their menu. very disappointed!"

"Walked in at about 9:00 and were told they were closing at 10:00, we could come in and order if we knew what we wanted. Seated immediately, a few tables were occupied and eating. Let's just say we were out by 9:35. I've never felt so uncomfortable and rushed to eat and get out. Waiter came by and told us last call, if we wanted anything else, I understand last call. Got our food pretty quick, of course. Once our food arrived they started cleaning all around us. Literally closing up shop and turning bright lights up. Soooo rude. It wasn't even 9:30. Why not close earlier or not serve us. It was not an enjoyable experience."

"Our server was pushy but then she forgot about us. She came to our table 30 seconds after we sat down when he told her that he needed an extra min, she huffed said oh i'll get your order when I come back with her wine. She came back with the wine and asked, well have you made a decision? He told her some beer a tall. She came back with a short and mentioned that the tall glasses were all dirty and you will get this and a partial. She had started to walk away when we waved her back and told her that we wanted to order an app. when she came back with the app, we told her that we wanted to order. I ordered the pad thai and she asked how spicy do you want it I said, I want nothing with spicy, I get sick. She said yeah, yeah I get it. My Husband asked if the duck curry had a lot of tomatoes in it, she said no, not a lot. That dish doesn't have any in it. We then waited 30 minutes for our food; I would understand if the restaurant was busy.... but it was not. I also had a clear shot of the bar and I noticed her behind the bar messing with liquor bottles. When we actually received our food it was warm to the touch (on the top) but when you stirred the dish it was hot underneath (probably sitting under a heat lamp). Remember when I mentioned that I couldn't have spice... well there was something spicy in the dish and I couldn't eat it. She never came back to ask, how is the food or can I get you a replacement on those drinks. She was HORRIBLE!! She dropped off the bill, when my husband was still eating and said no rush. She then came back 5 minutes later and said Can I get anything off the table LIKE THE BILL! and when I told her no, we are not DONE, she walked away in a puff again. I waved the host over to speak with a manager, she refused to get one and all she wanted to do is comp our meal. Not sure we will be back."

"This place is spectacular! The service is spectacular. The food is spectacular. The drinks are, well you get what I'm trying to say. This excellent Japanese restaurant is as great as I had been hearing. The entire staff was so friendly and attentive. All the little details were on point. The salmon roll was possibly the best sushi roll I have ever eaten period full stop. Then it just gets better from there! The Wagyu Truffle roll truly blew my mind. The steak and potatoes and broccoli were incredible and filling. It's nice to go to an expensive restaurant that actually fills you up! Definitely looking forward to coming back soon. Enjoy"

"I had to wait until my food was on the way because I was afraid of food contamination, and this needs to be said. They called to charge me a dollar after asking for extra sides of ginger dressing. My order was over $80.00. It was a five minute call because I couldn't find my debit card. If the food is out of this world amazing I will reconsider maybe but nickle and diming me when I am paying over 20% tip? That's a NO from me from now on."

"I was impressed by the amount of vegan options Yoshimatsu offers! We tried all vegan sushi on the menu with the exception of the blessed salad roll! I have never tried a vegan role with pickled ginger (oshinko roll) and I have appreciated creativity with it! I hope to see different roles in the future or a specialized vegan role! Overall good option for numerous vegetable and rice rolls. Next time I will try the vegetables nigiri sushi!"

"If you enjoy watching chefs cook right in front of you, then this is the place to be! The chefs put on an excellent show while you enjoy your meal right before your eyes. The sushi here is also top-notch, with a wide variety of options and special rolls to choose from. I have been here several times and always find myself ordering the same delicious roll and leaving satisfied. If you leave hungry, it's your own fault! While the hibachi can be a bit pricey, it's the only hibachi experience I've had and the entertainment, interaction, and delicious food make it worth the cost. I would also like to extend a special thank you to the gentleman who treated me and my family during one of our visits – your generosity is greatly appreciated."
