"We have been to Nobu at: New York, Los Angeles, Palo Alto, Budapest, Barcelona, Mexico City, Los Cabos and more. We went to Nobu at the Galleria in Houston for dinner on Monday 21st of august at 7:30. When we arrived, we saw that there were plenty of seating's available, we asked for a table, and they gave us one with only two seatings. We asked for a bigger table with four seating's because my father didn't feel comfortable in that seating, and they told us that they didn't have any space left. So, we left the restaurant at 7:40, and we checked on Open Table if they had any open reservations and by our surprise it said it had 7 tables available and we reserved on for a party of four at 7:45. We entered the restaurant we met again with the hostess Gabriela Arsiaga and told her we had made a reservation for four people, she proceed to her manager and when he arrived they gave their backs to us and started talking, we didn't had an answer for our table until my dad asked them if they did had any table available. They told us that they were arraigning our settings and then proceeded to seating us. We had our dinner, we ordered plenty of stuff and paid the bill. The Manager is Called Ryan Nielsen. After we went to speak with the manager and I asked him “Why if you had seven tables available you didn't gave us one” and he told me that he wasn't aware because he had “more important things to do” I told him that us, his clients are the most important things to do, the same with the hostess, how come her job is to seat people and she either wasn't aware that she had plenty of seats available. We are extremely disappointed, we are accustomed to go to these types of restaurants and if we expect to pay a higher price we are expected to receive an excellent service, in which today Nobu has disappointed us."

"I went from Lincoln Road in the evening and saw this interesting looking place on a side street, a huge door half open, a fascinating environment. At this moment I wore my shrubs such a mental note to come back one day. In the end, the day came, and I and my friend went to dinner on a Saturday night. Reservations have been contested and if you go through this mysterious door, it is clear why. The ambience is simply amazing, such a great mood! It's hard to describe it... lively, an upscale, state-of-the-art restaurant, you could be in any big city in the world. Look at the pictures! At night there was a live DJ playing electronic music and you feel like inspired to party. There is a disadvantage, however: music is too loud for conversations. Service was fast and very good, lots of attention on details, staff was friendly and helpful. We loved eating absolutely, not touristy as many other places in Miami Beach. The parts are small, we have a few things to share and were very satisfied. Many times go to a restaurant where you feel that you pay too much for the food. But here it was worth every penny. I can't wait to come back and try everything else from the menu! Amazonian Salmon exquisite taste, amazing combination of flavors! Every bite was magic! Shrimp Spring roll very interesting, crispy, tasty, different. The diving sauce was great! (This is the description of my friend... chaufa rice with shrimps tasty, had a nice subtle smoke taste. My friend really liked it, for me it was good, but nothing special. Pork belly my friend and I disagreed. I really loved it! And he said the taste was “a little too intense”. Dragon roll: good! But nothing surprising. Chocolate Brownie: It was a little too sweet for me. But very good, rich, full texture. Mango Sorbet was great."

"Nice Japanese restaurant in Stone Oak. Walked in and was immediately greeted and given the option to pick any table as it was not crowded. Waitress was very prompt in bringing drinks and taking the orders. She was very friendly and did a great job of constantly stopping by. Ordered the soft shell crab and calamari frito as appetizers. There's not many places to get soft shell crab, so had to try it. It was well-prepared and plated nicely. The batter was very crunch and the soft shell crab very flavorful. The calamari frito was a nice surprise too. It was thicker and sushi grade squid instead of the thinner calamari at most places. For the meals, ordered the Karaegi Chicken, Combo Yakisoba, Mini Chirashi, and two pieces of Yellowtail sushi. The mini chirashi was a nice mix of 3 pieces of tuna, salmon, and yellowtail. The sushi was all very fresh and of good quality. The seaweed salad that came with it was also really good; I'd even recommend that as an appetizer or side dish. The yakisoba bento meal came with a small salad, gyoza, and small rolls. The salad had a nice dressing, gyoza was nice and crispy, and rolls were what you'd expect. The yakisoba noodles were good, but the meats were a little dry. The karaegi chicken was different and in no related to karaage chicken. It must be their own dish as I'm not familiar with an actual karaegi chicken. Instead of the deep fried karaage chicken, the karaegi chicken is marinated and served in the sauce. It reminded me of a chicken dish you may receive at a Chinese restaurant. Not that it was bad, but was different than I expected. Overall, good experience as the sushi was of good quality and grade. Service was great. I'll probably return and order from the sushi menu."
