"I went there for breakfast during a NYC tour with my family. Actually we had breakfast there twice since the oatmeal and the pastries where really good, but especially the second time we didn’t enjoy the service. The employees looked like they we’re annoyed and pretty unfriendly. We waited for a cappuccino 15 minutes: this was actually no big deal but the girl who was supposed to make it was really bothered when we simply told her that we hadn’t got that yet."

"the bread is utterly delicious. the pastries very good (scones are yumm. cakes and brownies are a bit on the over sugary side. The service can be spotty however. Sometimes kind, helpful and enthusiastic. Other times it borders on incompetent even rude. You have a sense the place is often a training ground for staff nothing wrong with that ... but only one at the tie, please! (and manners! please teach new staff to say 'thank you! '"
